Has anyone been recently? I tried to search the forum but the most recent post it pulls up is from 2007....I'm just wondering how it is and if it is worth the 2 credits each we will be using to go.....How is the food, etc. Thanks!

We went there to celebrate our tenth anniversary in May and brought our four kids (under the age of 8) and had a FANTASTIC time. It's a great show. Highlight of our trip so I would highly recommend it.

To me, it is not worth spending 2 dining credits on the Spirit of Aloha. I'm not saying that it's a bad choice to go, but I think that doing a signature or having the credits for 2 other TS meals is a better use. Many people will pay OOP for the Spirit of Aloha and save the TS credits. I thought the food was OK, the show was cute. The flame thrower is by far the highlight. I think it's especially fun for people that are in bigger groups (especially if you want to take advantage of unlimited beer!) :) If you pay OOP you also will get better seating than using the dining plan. We prefer the food at Ohana MUCH more than the Spirit of Aloha and honestly would rather eat there twice than go to the Spirit of Aloha. Keep in mind that it's outdoors, we went on a cold and rainy night, and even though we were bundled up, it was still somewhat uncomfortable. The show also can get cancelled due to inclement weather and then you will be left with no ADR option for that evening. The evening we went, the later show was cancelled because it was so cold and rainy. If you decide to go, it will not be a bad decision by any means, but I would consider paying OOP and getting more out of those 2 TS credits.

We went in 2009 & 2011 and it was awesome both times. The food was delicious, the show was entertaining, and the service was great! I would go again in a heartbeat!

The food was pretty good, the show was cute but nothing super special with the exception of the flame thrower. I will say the show did not hold the attention of my 3yr nephew.

searching SOA on the Disney Restaurants forum. Use advanced search. You will see a number of threads.

We did it 2 years ago and it was hotter than blazes the night we went so the food was good, but heavy and we didn't drink our money's worth. Would we do it again? absolutely....just not in August!

We loved Spirit of Aloha! We went last year and paid OOP rather than using our dining credits. We had fabulous seats front and center! My daughter was called on stage to accept the leaf from the warrior. The food was good and the show was very entertaining! I would recommend that everyone go once. We will be going back!
