For those of you who have been to the dinner show, do you think it is worth it to pay oop and sit in cat 1 seating, or to use the 2 TS credits and sit somewhere in cat 2? If cat 2 is your answer then can you recommend where in that section to sit? It will be me my DH, DS 4, and DS 6 going to the show.
I have heard that cat 2 and 3 can have obstructed views, and I would not want to waste my TS credits on a show that we can not see on account of a pillar in the way of the stage.
Thanks for any info.....

I paid, not using DDP, to get category 1. It was worth it to me... and we used the DDP credits for other meals. Many of the category 2 and 3 seats seemed very far back and would make it difficult to see. A cast member confirmed that seating assignments, within each category, are based on when you make your reservation, ADR. It is not based on when you print your tickets or when you arrive. So, the earlier you make your ADR, the better. We made our ADR right at the 90 day mark (now 180 days) and were seated up front and center.

Other dinner shows, we used the DDP because seating was not as important. Hoop De Doo does seating the same way but all seats there have a good view and the performers go throughout the crowd. Mickeys Backyard BBQ doesn't have category seating (I think) because all the seats are first come, first serve.
