Yes, the dinner show is run all year long, even in Jan and Feb. It is outside, under cover and probably better when cool. We went in July and it was hot. You will have to book 90 days at least (I hear they are returning to 180 days at some point). We tried a couple times to get in. I can't say about credits because we have AP and just pay for food. We loved it. Lots of food, fun show and an incredible fire juggler. I've never been to O'hannas (haven't been able to get it yet), but hoping to in March. Hope this was helpful.
We love the Luau. We go every year. The food is not exactly the same food at Ohana, but it's still YUMMY. We always have to ask for seconds or thirds! The show itself is so much fun as well.
We go every trip because my DH loves the salad, and the rest of the food. While the show is great ( the fire dude is awesome.) I have seen it 5 times and would'nt be upset if I misssed one. It does use 2TS and you will be seated category2 or 3 none being bad seats , We pay out of pocket and getCat. 1 seating and that also gives us more dining options becasue we are there for 2 weeks.. I have never eaten Ohans's yet but I am looking forward to trying it this Nov. can't wait to try the bread pudding. Which ever one you decide to do, check to see when wishes is going on and you can watch the fireworks from the Poly beach.
Hi
Thanks one of my concerns is that after reading on it it said that if weather goes under 50 degrees it may be canceled we are going in end of jan to early feb if I remember it went chilly quite a bit around those times ???
Any experiences of your dinner/show being canceled around this time of year ???
Weather can definitely be a problem. We were scheduled to go last January but it was cancelled due to weather. I think they said it was too windy. It didn't seem bad to us but I guess with fire juggling you do need to be cautious! We are scheduled to go this October and are praying it won't be cancelled. It was at the top of our list and I think my older sister will be completely heartbroken if we miss it again!
Personally I think the food is just O.K. but the show is awesome, maybe I was just tired and wasn't all that hungry. I highly recommend it just for the show.
I am not a luau fan. I find the show pretty dull and corny (and not in a good way like Hoop de Doo), the exception is the amazing fire dancer. The food is OK.
If you are staying at the Poly I think it is a fun way to get into the Poly atmosphere, but other than that I really can't recommend it.
Don't get me wrong, some folks love it, some of my family members included, I'm just not one of those folks (nor am I claiming relation to said family members) (joke).
