We are going to WDW for the first time ever this Dec and have reservations for the Spirit of Aloha, category 3 seating.

Can anyone share any thoughts on this dinner? Food wise and show wise?

Also wondering if anyone has sat in category 3 before who could share info?

Thanks in advance for any help! :goodvibes

the show is lovely and heartwarming- as you would expect from disney. there is a plot of sorts but the main theme is the various dances etc from the polynesain isles.

The food is okay, it fills you up, but it's not the main event.

not sure what seats we had but i think you can see well from anywhere. The atmosphere is fab. Also take the opportunity to have a good look around the poly when you are there,if not staying there, it's a fab resort.

we went in july, and will not return. The food was okay, but the show was not very good. It is not worth the 2 credits!

We were there May 2008. Cat #3 we were two adults and had front seats great view for the show. Our waitresses name was Mable she was great and very attentative. The food was good but it was alot. The show was also good. Enjoy

We went last year and we were very disappointed. We sat in #3 and although the view was decent, the seating is SO crowded and the show is very cheesy (and not in an entertaining way). Didn't care for the food either.

The only part we enjoyed was the fire dancer at the end of the show, and from what I understand we can watch him for free at the nightly torch lighting ceremony at the Poly (where we stay).

Personally, we'd rather spend our dining money elsewhere.

The show is a little cheesy but we really enjoyed it. The dancing is very good and the guy with the fire is amazing.

Also, this was our favorite meal of our trip. So flavorful and my gosh my mouth waters when I think of the rice :rotfl:

DW and I went a few years back and had a very good time. The food was very good and you could just keep eating till you were stuffed. The free flowing beer and wine is definitely a plus as well. I don't know what category we were seated in, but the view seemed fine and the show was very entertaining. I say, go and have a good time!:thumbsup2
