Spirit of Aloha--when do they charge the ddp?

When do they charge the dining credits to your kttw? When you pick up the tickets at the concierge desk or when you make the reservation on the phone? I'm confused b/c they made us link the reservation to our room confirmation.

They will never actually remove the DDP credits from your account until you pick up the ticket - because you do not have a DDP account until you have actually checked into your resort. You don't have a KTTW or any credits for them to deduct at this point.

They link the room reservation because since you are on DDP you do not have to pay them the cash price in full at the time of booking. You won't pay until you are at WDW.
