Which one is a must? Can keep both but didn't know if all would enjoy the shows.

HDDR hands down. SoA is fine and the food is ok but HDDR is interactive (as much as you would like), yet more intimate. You are inside, not out and the food is really good. It's corny but still loads of fun and probably more enjoyable for all. Just MHO but I'm sure others will chime in with almost the same.

I agree HDDR all the way. We have been several times and are going again in 2 weeks. I can't wait

If you have to pick one, do HDDR. It's much more entertaining and the sight lines are better. SOA is good, but the 1st act is kind of boring and hokey.

Man, I really want to book Spirit of Aloha since we've never done it but we LOVE HDDR. We did Backyard BBQ not that long ago and we thought it was a giant waste of money. I've heard good things about Spirit of Aloha but I know I just won't be able to compare it to HDDR.

Yet another vote for HDD. Its a really fun time. Food is pretty good. Entertainment is great. You're guaranteed to come out of there singing.

Another HDDR fan here. I think you will find that most people, even if they like it, find spirit of Aloha "one and done" while HDDR has a lot of repeat fans. The show is just overall better, you will laugh more and the food is better too I think (although it does seem like SoA food has improved over the years).

They're both great! Personally, I prefer SOA, but I think kids enjoy HDDR more. Also the food and service is better at HDDR.

Have not tried HDDR, but have been to SOA twice and enjoyed it both times. Good food/entertainment value. Children probably would enjoy HDDR more.

I have done both, for a younger family, HDDR all the way. Loads of fun and food is great for little ones.
Loved SOA too, but that will have to wait for our little ones to be older...
