I have a 9 year old and I see that the menu for kids is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, and hot dogs. Do they have to eat these items or can they try teh other foods served. Also, do they get to enjoy the dessert there?

Thats really strange. The meals are served family style (platters placed in middle of table, everyone serves themselves. When platter is empty, waitstaff refill). I have been a bunch of times w/ kids and have never been offered a kids menu! I cant imagine a platter in front of your child and waitstaff saying to your child, she cant eat it.

You may want to make sure and call them, but my experience ( havent been for a couple of years) has been that the child can share the family style meal.

I will be there Tuesday night. I you can wait until 12/04,. Ill let you know what I found out.

We ate there on Dec. 21 last year, & my DS9 ate off the regular "family-style" meal that was served. Our server did not even mention a children's menu. DS loved just about everything that was served!

I only saw the children's menu on the all ears website and was worried he wouldn't be able to eat everything else. He would have been so bummed! Thanks for the input!

We go to this show every year and our DD9 has eaten off the family platter each time. I think once we were asked if she was going to eat the meal or if she would like something else. Otherwise, it was just assumed she was eating what we were eating. She has also always eaten the volcano dessert and had some of DH too. We'll be there again on Dec.12 and I am planning on her eating the family style meal.:)

You have the option of ordering something else kid friendly if your child so desires. I had a picky adult on our last trip to Spirit of Aloha, she won't chicken that is served on the bone. I didn't realize we were going to be served bone in chicken. I quickly went up to the host stand and requested that a boneless skinless chickedn breast be brought to our table for her. Within 5 minutes it was at our table and they didn't charge us extra. Crisis averted!

The kids can eat off of the family style platter or you can request the kid options. Have been numerous times they never offer the kids menu you have to tell them.

We were just there last month. My DD9 ate the chicken from the family plate. But my DD5 didn't like that. You have to ask for the children's meal. They don't just offer it. She was served "box lunch" style. It was a hot dog and mac & cheese. I don't know about the PB&J. But she loved the pineapple and ate that from the family plate.

BTW, I didn't think this was worth the 2 credits. The food was good, but the show is not that great. But that is just my opinion.
