This trip was my DH, DD#1, DD#2 and myself.
SPIRIT OF ALOHA LUAU
We booked the Luau months ago and oldest DD was really looking forward to it. They tell you to arrive at 8:00 for the 8:30 show. We did and had to walk through the Poly out to Luau Cove. Once we checked in we could get a group photo taken or wait in line to be let into the dining section.
They have tables of four set in lines we were the fourth table back in the line from the stage and we still had a very good view of the entire show. Once we were seated, the salad, pineapple and bread were delivered to our table served family style. The waiter will ask what you want to drink beer and wine are part of the dinner ticket price. They also offered some festive drinks that glowed in the dark. The show started after our salad and kept us entertained while we waited for the main course. The story is a little lame, but entertaining.
The main course consisted of chicken, rice and ribs. The waiter would refill anything they ran out during the course of us eating. Our youngest DD had chicken nuggets.
Dessert was chocolate mouse volcanoes and they brought those out steaming.
They got the kids up on stage to do the hula and then any special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and newlyweds. The show continued during the courses and ended with a fire dancer. All in all, for the money spent, it was a good show and the food was good. To top it off, the fireworks (Wishes) from the Magic Kingdom were going off as we left the Luau so we were able to watch them from the Poly.
Meal: B+, Service: B+, Atmosphere: B (only because it is outside and it was muggy make sure you wear bug spray); Overall value: B+
