Hi,

Can you tell me a bit about this show? It will just be myself & husband. Do we sit with others or are we on our own table? Is it all you can eat? We’ve done hoop de doo in the past is a similar scenario? How’s the food ?
Thanks

You might want to search some reviews. For what I've read both the food & the show are pretty lame.

It's been 4 yrs since we went last. We're actually going next week! From what I remember, the tables are laid out so that it looks like some very long tables...I 'think' that there is a slight gap that would separate you from another party. Each party gets their own food, yes it is all you can eat. The first 'act' of the show before dinner is kind of hokey, but the second act after dinner is great with dances from various Polynesian islands and then ending with the fire dancer. We've always enjoyed the food and the show! We always do Category 1 seating and book right at 180 days--almost always we've been the first party seated at the table--getting the best views of the show.

You get your own table. The food is very so-so, IMO- the "story" part of the show is too, until they get to the dancers. The atmosphere is fun and festive, though.

I have been to the Spirit of Aloha Show twice over a span of maybe 12-15 years. I think the food is excellent, all you can eat served family style (serve yourself once the food is brought to the table). The show is okay and yes the dancers are the best part. I always tell people to do it unless, there is a real good chance you would ever go to Hawaii, then I would hold out for the real thing.

The tables are separate, but they're arranged in a picnic table fashion. i.e., no one sits at either end of the table. Food is all you care to eat, delivered family style. I thought the food to be so-so.

The show reminded me of High School Musical set in Polynesia. The only redeeming part of the show was the fire dancer.

We go every year. Food is good. Dessert is good. Beer keeps coming. Dancing good. Story line cheesy. You can't please everyone though. Get Cat 1 if you can.

I LOVE it - I think the dancing is amazing! As others have said, the story is silly, but the atmosphere, dancing, music is fantastic :)

I go all the time. Love it. Food is "polynesian", very different than anything I can get near my home. Show is good, not FANTASTIC...the end with the hula and fire dancers is great.

Not sure about your won table. Im thinking no.. but I could be wrong. Smallest Ive seen is a 4 top, but all tables are super close together. You might get a 4 top by yourselves, I only remember it always seems like every seat is filled, so didnt really notice a table for 2. All you can drink beer, wine and sangrias :) Its a lovely relaxing way to spend the evening.

Been several years, but was very disappointed. Our seating was terrible even though they tell you everyone can see. We were toward the end, I'm very petite, and most was lost to me. The food was so so - we won't be back.

When we went 6 years ago, we had our own table for 3 of us. Tables were not combined. We LOVED the food and loved the show, as did our 3 year old.

We've stayed @ Poly a few times but never done the dining show. I can say that the looks on the guests leaving the Spirit makes it seem like they had a good time. Should you want to have a few drinks at Trader Sam's after ...get out of the dinner venue as fast as possible since the bar is swamped there after.

I wouldn't go again. The show is a bit entertaining, but we didn't enjoy the food. For the cost there are much better choices unless you really think you will enjoy the show. You can probably find some clips on you tube I would think.
