Hi all - I am wondering if anyone could tell me what the Spirit of Aloha dinner show is like, we have done the hoop-de-do before and really had a great time. It's my sisters birthday when we will be there next year so we was going to book it for then. :yay:

We loved this show. We plan on doing it again soon. I like to book it right at 180 days. I think when you book plays a part into where you are seated. We got tier 1 and we had front row center since I called as soon as I could.

Great show! Like all dinner shows you want to be as close as possible so get there early. The show is basically a bunch of songs with a cliche Hawaiin storyline and a young couple falling in love. Yes, this all culminates into the classic fire guy. It is awesome.

The food is good. All you can eat ribs, chicken, delicious pineapple. There is a point in the show where kids get to go on stage and learn to hula. Bring a video camera!

Just Got back from Disney yesterday! and I we did the Luau on Saturday. Second time going. First time (last year) We LOVED it! Corney show, but the fire dancer was really neat! This time our service was AWFUL! Just Awful. :( The waiter kept forgeting my drink. an hour in to supper after constant reminders, I finally got it, by asking another waiter. a member of our party asked for more chicken, cause their plate was empty and the other plates around them were empty of chicken also. although down at our end we still had a piece of chicken and the server said they couldn't have anymore, till ours was done!! CRAZY! But even with the VERY poor service, I would still book again, I love the Salad! LOVE the RIBS! Try it, you may be surprised. :)

This question comes up all the time. I've found that many people LOVE it, but there are also many who don't.

Personally, I didn't enjoy it. Overcrowded, the food was only average, and the show didn't impress me. Way too corny (even for kids based on the reaction of kids I've seen). I liked the Hoop Dee Doo much, much better.

But, I'm still glad I did it. Just wouldn't do it again.

My parents went to that show on the honeymoon and they didn't like it nor did they like the food. That was over 25 years ago. My husband and I decided to go to it on our honeymoon which was almost 4 years ago. It turns out somethings never change. The show was decent but the food was awful. I was pregnant too and if had not been for the kids peanut butter and jelly sandwich, I would have starved.

My experience was just the opposite of the above posters. My husband and I LOVED this show. We were very entertained and we thought the food was excellent. Conversely we were not that impressed with Hoop Dee Do, in fact I doubt we will go back to that one.
