The first time we went to Spirit of Aloha dinner show was 5 years ago on Thanksgiving day. And no they did not serve Hawaiian turkey! We really like the food and the show so we wanted to try it again.
The show was different from the first time we went but the food was the same.

The first time there were several fire twirlers in the show and this time there was only 1. The theme was good and after dinning there several times though out our vacation we would hear the same songs they sang so it was like being there all over again.

This time we were seated at a table by ourselves. The first time we sat at a long table with many other families which was fine but we were shocked to be seated at a table for 2 this time! We were on the far left side of the stage so I was not able to see if all the tables were that way or if they still had the long multi-family tables too.

It is a great experience for kids of all ages. They involved the kids by inviting them all to come up on the stage to dance.

Did you like the first time you visited over the second time? We went in 1997 and had a blast (there were 12 of us in our party and one of the male dancers kept coming over to our table sticking out his rather long tongue at my sis-in-law who was videotaping :lmao: We never laughed so hard our whole trip! she consequently deleted that off the tape since her hubby didn't go on the trip with us and she was afraid she would have alot of explaining to do :rotfl2: ). I got pulled on stage to learn the hula - how embarrassing that was! Very fun show!

This year I went w/my DBFF and we had a table for 2 to the left of the stage. We were even late in arriving and thought we'd get stuck in the back but the server took us right down to the front. The show was great - not sure I liked it as well with the new story line. My DBFF had fun tho. I'm taking my DS15 during our trip in December and hope he likes it. It will be just the two of us so hope we get up front as well.

Do you know if they are planning to change the story line anytime soon?

This is good to hear. We took our DD's in 1996 and loved it! In May 2009 one of my DD's is thinking of taking her two children. Do you think that my DGD (3.5) and DGS (7) will enjoy this?
