This can be confusing. In general, gratuity is not included at any restaurant. So on the DDP it is now not included. No problem. But at the Spirit of Aloha, if you are paying out of pocket, gratuitity is included. So if you use the DDP and 2 credits, would it not make sense that it is included then also, since they only have one price?

I did notice the last time we went, the server was a bit upset that we didn't give him more of a tip. We thought it was included and only tipped him on the extra drinks we ordered. Anyhow, thoughts on tipping at Spirit of Aloha with DDP??

I think since you are using 2 TS credits that the tip will still be included. Since like you said when you pay OOP the tip is included. I was thinking of doing the HHD this year again and paying this out of pocket since you get better seating and we get a discount on the rewards card. This would give us a TS for the first night and a TS breakfast for the morning of the day we leave. And if the CM waiter doesn't like the tip, so what!

Well I guess I should have read a bit better. On the DDP 2008 brochure under "Dinner Shows" it says that gratuities are included. :)
