Spirit Airlines????

I've used them several times in the past out of Atlantic City. I never had a problem with them, and it is very, very easy flying out of ACY. And although I've never had a problem, I've read that their customer service isn't the best (putting it mildly).

One thing to remember is that they charge for everything, bags, seats, soda, snacks. That being said, they sometimes offer ridiculously low fares and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We have used Spirit for several years, out of Detroit. We have never had a delay or any other problems. They kind of nickel-dime ya with fees......but with some of their low fares, it still works out to be a deal.
Matter of fact, we just booked our airfare with Spirit, for this coming WDW trip in March.

We have flown with Spirit as well out of Detroit and no problems at all. Much cheaper than flying out of Toronto where us Canadians get dinged with all kinds of extra taxes and fees.

My friends flew Spirit over the school vacation. No problems. They prefer JetBlue but couldn't find a flight.

Thanks guys

Now to just convince my BFF that its a safe airline lol

She wont fly it cuz she has never heard of it

We love Spirit Air, We have used them out of Atlantic City for the last 5 years,(over 25 flights to MCO), never had any problems with them, only one delay due to weather, but it was only an hour.
Matter of fact I prefer Spirit over the larger airlines, when I can fly with them for my business. As stated in the other posts, they do nickle and dime you, but if you do the carry on bag thing, and dont care where you sit they are the cheapest:thumbsup2

I fly Spirit out of ACY twice/year, and have had no problems with them. My only complaint is that they do nickle and dime you (be prepared to pay for everything - bags, seat assignment, drinks/snacks), but that seems to be the norm among most airlines now. No problems with flights, service, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend Spirit.

We used Spirit 2 years ago out of Atlantic City and we loved it. Although, I'm having a bit of trouble with their carry on policy. I may just be dense about it, who knows.

Spirit Airlines customers may bring one (1) carry-on bag plus a personal item (such as a purse, briefcase, or laptop computer) on board at no charge.

"A carry-on bag must fit under your seat or in the overhead bin.
Carry-on bag dimensions may not exceed 24 inches by 16 inches by 12 inches (61cm x 40.6cm x 30.5cm).
One (1) carry-on item is permitted in the aircraft cabin.
The following items are not counted as carry-on items: umbrella, assistive devices, outer garments (coats/hats/wraps), camera, car seat/stroller, infant diaper bag, pet container, reading material for the flight, or food for consumption on board the flight.
Spirit may require that a carry-on item travel as checked baggage if the item cannot be safely stowed on a particular flight. Excess items will be charged according to checked baggage fees
"

My wife has a DSLR camera that we have a camera bag for, does this description mean that the camera bag wouldn't be counted as a carry on? So I can have my carry on and also my camera bag and she can also have a carry on? Essentially 3 bags, without being charged extra?

We use them out of Atalantic City as well even though the airport is a couple of hours from home. We are flying in January for $90 for the 2 of us plus seat fees of course. Last year we flew out in a storm when Newark was shutdown. For that one there was a delay but understandable.
Customer service in NJ was good but if you have to get someone on the phone, good luck. Alll in all we are very happy with Spirit.
