Can anyone who flies Spirit tell me in what order do they board their passengers?

We bought the extra big seats and my friend is physically handicapped. Is there a order they do things?

We always fly Spirit in the front seats. As far as we can ascertain, they categorize the loading order by whether or not you have pre-purchased luggage. They load big seats that HAVE pre-purchased bags as Zone 1 and those without as Zone 2. Of course, if you are traveling with any kind of compromised mobility, they load those passengers first.

Thanks! by pre paid do you mean carry on? I hope they dont oversell their big seats

The last time we flew spirit we bought the big seats and were in the first loading zone behind those with any sort of mobility issues.

thanks for the info.

I know i see a lot of negative reviews, but something tells me more people go on to complain than thank

How does Spirit Airlines exactly work. Is it worth buying there credit card to make use of there special priced tickets and could both of us use the same credit card or do we have to have one each and do you have to pay for all luggage even carry on's. They are flying out of a local airport and we were thinking of flying them this coming December. There would be no charge for parking at the airport (which is a big plus) and we would not have to travel 2 parkways to get to the airport which could be a hassle if your traveling right at rush hour.:sad2:

I am assuming you are considering flying from Latrobe! We are also from the Pittsburgh area. We have a *love* relationship for flying out of Latrobe. The fares are IMO rock bottom. Right now there is a coupon for 35.00 round trip tickets making our September air to MCO 571.00 round non-stop for a family of 4! Latrobes customer service was top notch they came over and got my stroller from me and let everyone with toddlers get on and get them settled so we boarded first. At MCO the services we meh... the planes were decent.... but a bit dirty... we were in the air all of 1 hr and 50 minutes so I dealt with it. I do not have their credit card or belong to any of their clubs I just signed up for promo e-mails and I get them all the time!! Parking was free but there are bag charges. 30.00 for the first bag-25.00 for the second so we paid 110.00 for our bags round trip. Still way less than the best flight I could get out of Pitt Int. and no free parking. Also security was a 5 minute adventure no lie!!

Thanks We live in Murrysville and it would be so nice to avoid the parkways. Now all I have to do is convince my husband and we will be all set. Thanks for the info.

We are flying out of Latrobe in a few weeks. Can't lie..I'm a little concerned about flying with Spirit but couldn't beat the price! I AM happy about flying out of Latrobe after hearing all the great reviews though.

I wouldn't worry about Spirit. IMO there are more negative reviews about Spirit just because happy customers don't usually review. We travel with them all the time, as they are the only non-stop from DTW. We've never been late or even delayed. We do just personal bags, as we have an Owners Locker, so we don't pay for bags. We do have the Spirit credit card and have actually earned one free round-trip flight already. Overall, for the price, I don't think you can beat them. Enjoy your upcoming trip!
