Ok, so we’ve received gifts this morning… but what have we given? Lets put ourselves in St Nick’s shoes…

For me, I gave some gift cards… including one for Disney!

Since my recipients are in different states than I, I always do electronic gift cards. The cost of shipping makes sending physical gifts very expensive.

Lots of things but the one I'm most tickled about is a cash gift earmarked for the purchase of a wig, to a dear friend who lost all her hair last week after her first round of chemo. It was important to us that she felt free to get one right away if she wanted one, and that she and her husband didn't feel financially burdened by it at this very expensive time of year. :goodvibes

Oh I’m so sorry to hear the loss of hair. The hair will grow back as quick as Rapunzel… I can feel it! I hope your friend gets better.

Lots of clothes, shoes, and accessories to my kids. I haven’t seen them yet, but since DH and I shopped for ourselves, I’m apparently giving him new running boards for his truck. 😂 I can’t be certain but I think I may have also gotten him a nice bottle of single malt scotch.

My boyfriend is getting a personalized ornament, some Star Trek t shirts, some chocolate, a little bit of jewelry to replace pieces he lost/broke this year, and a vintage computer from the 80s that he has been wanting for some time.

So much.....6 other people. (all close relatives)
Gift cards, clothes, toys, food, cash, things for the house.

The most fun was an exploding box for GS that shot out confetti and money.

I have a small family so only bought gifts for my parents and sister. My mom received pins from Shanghai Disneyland + Disneyland Paris, my dad got a new coat and long sleeve shirts and my sister got Lorcana cards and an anime figurine she has been wanting for a while now.

A box of 100 paper grocery bags. A 12 inch non-stick frying pan. Food safe disposable gloves. A potato scrubber. All on my wife's list A daily planner. A big of Cheetos, things I just decided to get, the Cheetos being a huge hit.

We don't exchange gifts but I brought my dad and extra pan of the hash brown casserole I brought. I also left half of the left over cranberry coffee cake.

:flower3: Do you celebrate Christmas in general? I've seen you mention not giving gifts many times and if you don't mind me asking, is that what you've always done or is it something you agreed to over time?

We celebrate Christmas in a secular way.

The no gift exchange is something we began doing when my daughters were in their early 20’s and began working and didn’t really need/want anything and when they did they just bought them. So everytime I asked what they might like they never had any ideas. It was actually my oldest daughter who suggested we just stop exchanging gifts. I know it seems strange for some but it works for us.

if you go by what amazon is now using to base their 'you might be interested in' emails to me-

lots of anime, d&d, firearms, steampunk, martial arts and legos (kohl's will tell you it was small odd appliances).

“Small odd appliances” Kohl’s is a weird breed of retail.

I think it's unusual, but not weird at all. To not do it seems like there must be a reason and I was curious. Thanks for telling me. :flower3:
