Let me preface, this has nothing to do with Super Bowl, but it originated there so I think of it as a spin off of sorts. Especially because it can include commercials.

@Stargazer65 took me back in the day to Schoolhouse Rock. Most of us of a certain age can instantly recite Conjunction Junction, I'm Just a Bill, and 3 is the Magic Number when thinking of SHR. Interjections was so much fun because I hadn't heard it in eons, yet it still existed in the recesses of my mind.

A few days later on Facebook, a page I like posted this old commercial that I cannot believe I remembered the song verbatim. Another one I forgot all about it until I saw it, and now it is stuck in my head.

So my nostalgia had me smiling, and it made me want to ask if anyone has a jingle or song from the past that you can still recite without skipping a beat? Is there an earworm that just won't leave you after all these years?

Silly post, but may be fun to jog some of our memories.

I am afraid there are too many to name. I'm like Seth McFarlane - if it was on TV in the 80's, I remember it! 🤣 I know tons of tunes from cereal commercials. When Star Lord wore that Freakies t-shirt at the end of Guardians Vol. 3, I didn't have to look it up. 😁

Oh so many….

I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toys R Us kid
There’s a million toys at Toys R Us that I can play with….

Give me a break, give me a break
Break me off a piece of that Kit Kat Bar….

Great thread, can’t wait to see what everyone else remembers!

My bologna has a first name, it's O-S-C-A-R.
My bologna has a second name, it's M-A-Y-E-R.
I love to eat it every day, and if you ask me while I'll saaaaaaaaaay...
Cause Oscar Mayer has a way with B-O-L-O-G-N-A.

Here is one of many gems I can sing start to finish. Get your ski's shined up!

I never watched Family Guy, but it would come on TBS after Friends or Seinfeld so if I was busy it would be on in the background before I could pay attention and change the channel. There was only one time and one snippet of an episode I clearly remember because it had a great early 80's reference. The Great Space Coaster! That would be on before I walked to school. Took me right back. And I am hoping you can sing this theme song like I can!

Loved the Great Space Coaster! Woah-oh-oh! Family Guy is full of that kind of stuff. I love the one where they do the whole All-Fruit commercial, then they stop to explain it to anyone under 40 and show the real entire commercial. "Would you please pass the jelly!"

If you want to bring it to 80's cartoon/kid show theme songs, I actually listen to some of them in car! They were bangers.

Not so much an earworm or something I know the words to, because there aren't any. But this is one of the ways it feels like Christmas to me -- and I'm upset they've now tweaked it because it doesn't feel the same.

Charlie got me to buy Good & Plenty, plenty of times back there in the 50's..

DH put a box in my Christmas stocking and I've been grabbing out one (or two) as a treat most days. Maybe I might hint for him to get me a box for Valentine's because I'm almost empty.

I remember seeing the commercials in the 70s.
