Ok so now that I know to bring a stroller for my 5/7 year old to share...I think they will use the cheapo umbrella stroller that I have for my 3 year old now since she never uses a stroller. So that means I need a new one for my 3 year old. I figure its cheaper to buy one than to rent one these days! So I am in the market for a cheap lightweight stroller that has good storage underneath! Any suggestions? I really don't need frills or anything. Just easy to push, and storage underneath!

If you use it at home I would reccomend a Cybex or a Mac. They are lightweight and have lots of great features as well as a higher weight limit. They are about $200. If you are looking for something cheaper that is nice I believe it is called a metrolite? I had a stroller that had a tray and was a lightweight umbrella stroller. It was about $40. The only issue is that I am tall (5'8") and the handles were a little short for me so I would occassionally kick the back. It was a great stroller though and very lightweight.

I recommend going to a consignement shop. (I also agreed that it was cheaper to buy one/used than to rent).
I bought this $250+ stroller for $60 at a consignment shop and it had no marks on the wheels whatsoever.

I have a 2 year old that will be 3 in October and is VERY tall for her age.
We just got back from Disney and she rode in this one (Peg Perego Pliko P3):

I also have this Graco Trendlite stroller at home, and HATE it. It is supposed to be nice because it is SOOO lightweight, but it ended up being a piece of crap (which is why I bought the Peg Perego Pliko P3 at a consignment shop - LOVE that stroller!)

It is light, folds up EASILY, OPENS easily and is probably the best stroller I have ever owned. A child can stand on the back step as well, if need be.

I bought a Perego Pliko P3 from www.albeebaby.com and had it shipped to the resort.

Albeebaby has a great deal on the Britax Blink (similar to the Maclaren style). It has a decent sun canopy, storage, reclines, carrying strap and has adjustable foot rest all for $70. It is good to 55lbs.

One word of advice- test out using that cheapo umbrella stroller for your 5/7 year olds first. It may be very hard to push with an older kid. I had a not so cheap umbrella type stroller for my middle DS that I thought I loved, but once he got some weight to him (over 25 lbs) it was horrible! We took it to Disney and I hated it. It was so hard to push and maneuver. You may end up putting the big kids in the new stroller and the younger, lighter child in the cheaper stroller.

I have a double maclaren that I love for older kids (pushes and turns wonderfully even with larger kids) and just bought the Britax B-Agile for my youngest (7 months). I have tested the B-agile with my older kids and it pushes and maneuvers wonderfully as well. Although a new B-Agile or Maclaren will probably run about $200. The consignment shops or craigslist are a great idea if you don't plan to use the stroller that much.

We bought 2 gently used Quinny Zapp strollers for our 3 and 6 year, for our upcoming trip. I love them, they push so well...even with my 6 year old. I would try out your umbrella stroller with your older children - you don't want to struggle with pushing them! The zapp folds up super small as well.

I am sort of a "stroller junkie" as my husband calls me. I've found that I only really love 2 brands. I think Maclaren is the top. You can buy the Volo at Target or Babies R Us for $100 and they are awesome. I especially recommend this brand if you are tall. I'm 5 '8 and always wound up kicking the back wheels..drove me crazy. It doesn't happen with this brand. The other brand I really like is Chicco. Babies R Us sells the Chicco Capri or Caddy for around $79.99 and this even comes with a travel bag with a carry strap for travel and a rain shield. Hope this helps!

I bought a First Years Ignite for my DS4. It's a lightweight umbrella stroller that reclines, has a sunshade, and a storage basket. I got it for $50 at BJ's.

I got a Baby Jogger City Micro from someone off of craigslist yesterday for $50. Great little stroller that accommodates tall kids and is lightweight, easy to fold, yet has a lot of features. You can get them on albeebaby.com for $99.

The only thing with Maclaren is the seat back is not very high for an older child. My four year old's head is completely above the back of our Triumph. So I'd try it out and see, or if you don't care about that then I think Maclarens are great. I'd get one off of craigslist, but that's what I do nowadays. Can't bring myself to pay full price for a stroller, especially if we're going to take it on a plane and it might get damaged.

I have a MacLaren for my toddler and I love it!! We downgraded from our big stroller just recently to the MacLaren, but it still reclines for naps, has a sunshade and storage underneath, plus is has a rainshield if necessary!

Both my boys (2 and 3 years old) have long torsos and are to tall when they sit down for a lot of strollers. Other then our sit and stand they can't fit any of the other strollers we have any more.

I did a lot of research and ended up buying the Zooper Twist. It has a great sunshade, very sturdy (I can hang a bag on the back of it without it falling over) and even came with it's own rain shield and sun shield. It does a full recline which is good for when they sleep. It also has a 19" back which is as tall as it gets unless you go to the very expensive and high weight strollers. Oh and 55 pounds for the weight.

The boys love this stroller and hubby and I find it very easy to push. It is a bit on the heavier side at 17 pounds due to it being so sturdy. However it folds easily and has a handle on the side which makes it easy to carry.

Our Maclaren Triumph has survived 12 disney trips and 14 RT plane rides as well as countless other amusement park/zoo/fair trips and still looks and works like it is brand new. I  that stroller. It is light weight, collapses easily and small and pushes like a dream. Both my DH and I are 5' 9" and it is a great height. DS5 is pretty tall at 48" and 54 lbs and still fits ok in it. My 9 year old niece (who is small for her age) even rode in it a few times for a couple of minutes to rest her legs last year. It was definitely worth every single penny and it is still going strong. The rain shield alone that came with it is worth the price! DS stays completely dry in it, even in a Florida deluge.

I just got the Baby Jogger City Mini for my 2 y/o. It reclines all the way down for naps, has an awesome sun canopy, is lightweight and has a true one-hand fold.

They retail for $240, but I got mine on craigslist for $125 and it included the parent console ($30)
