Spinoff of 70's thread

"We will sell NO WINE before its time!"

Do you remember the Hertz rent-a-car ads with OJ Simpson?

"When E.F. Hutton talks, people listen."

"Raise your hand, raise your hand if you're SURE!"

"Have it your way at Burger King."

"You deserve a break today at McDonalds."

It was PERT that told you to tell 2 friends and so on and so on

I want a Hawaiin Punch... SMACK!!!

"Sorry, Charlie" (Charlie Tuna)

"That's the best tasting pickle I ever heard" (Vlasic stork)

Take the Nestea Plunge... aaaaah!

Is it butter or Chiffon Margarine? It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!

I remember the Irish soap commercial where the man slices the soap with a knife....I tried that, my parents were not too happy!

Butter/Parkay/Butter/Parkay... I loved the way the tub "talked"

"Get Mikey to try it, he'll eat anything"... Life cereal

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

Here are a few oldies but goodies..

My bologna has a first name it's O-S-C-A-R, my bologna has a second name it's M-A-Y-E-R, Ooh, I love to eat it everyday and if you ask me why I'll say, cause Oscar Mayer has a way with B-O-L-O-G-N-A.

"It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!" - Margarine

Woman says "Parkay" - tub of parkay says "Butter", woman tastes parkay and says "You do taste like Butter" and tub quips back "Parkay"

This one is really old but does anyone remember the Indian (Native American to be PC) Chief walking around a bunch of junk and trash on the roadside and then someone throws garbage out of a car I think and it lands on the guy's foot and they show a tear running down his face and say something like Keep American Beautiful.

Wednesday is Prince Speghetti Day with the mother calling out Tony and the kid running home on Wednesday night to eat..

How about the Anita Bryant ads for Florida Oranges?

Continental airline's ads which said "Proud Bird with the Golden tail" or We really move our tails for you.

And this one was really old, I think from the 60s with a girl picking flowers in a field singing and then all of a sudden there is a nuclear explosion and they do like a reverse image on her face. I was really little when that ad aired, but I know it scared the heck out of me. I think it was an ad against Barry Goldwater.

IDEAL... pretty funny!

I've seen ideal on my way to Atlantic City.. yes, old lady haven!

"This is Phil Rizzuoto, for the Money Store". As a kid, I actually thought the Money Store, was just that.. a MONEY store! The Money Store in Cherry Hill NJ is a hair stylist now (I think)

There were Crazy Eddie commercials... "If you can get it any cheaper, buy it" (or something like that).. had a friend who worked for Crazy Eddie in Cherry Hill.. the books were always off!

Late 1970's

Brooke Shields laying on a ground with a sheery type top

"Nothing comes etween me and my Calvins".

The Kool Aid guy crashing into everything known to man!!!
(Weird trivia-- the Kool Aid guy costume was designed by the Krofft brothers.. Sid and Marty)

How many licks for the Tootsie Roll pop?

You're soaking in it (Palmolive)

The milk chocolate melts in your mouth, not in your hands - I always thought that commercial was so misleading. I ended up making a mess anyway because the colored candy coating would end up all over my hands.

The candyman can -wasn't that Sammy Davis Jr?

Crazy Eddie - I don't remember these commercials when I was a kid but they play them on the radio every once in awhile. Very annoying!

How about the Heinz commercial - anticipation, anticipay-ay-tion is making me wait... it's sloooow good.

I always loved the Snickers commercial where they were at a bday party and there was a candle in the snickers bar. They sliced it into a bunch of slices to show that it's "packed with peanuts".

Nope, it wasn't Pert and it wasn't Farrah. It was Faberge Organic shampoo and it was Heather Locklear. She told two people, and they told two people, and so on, and so on.....

Who remembers Tickle deodorant in the big polka-dot bottle?
Kissing potion??? That stuff tasted horrible, but my lips were REALLY glossy!

Do you remember when you HAD to get those blue tennis shoes with the white stripes on the sides? These were cool LONG before Nike appeared with the SWOOSH!

Crazy Eddie's prices are iiiiiiiiiinsaaaaaaane!!!

Philly area- do you remember the Krass Brothers commercials? "Store of the Stars"

I remember Tickle and Kissing potion, that was an early 80's thing!

Ho, Ho, Ho- Green Giant!

Bum - Bum- Bum-Bum-Bumblebee Tuna
I like my Bumblebee Tuna

Do you remember when you HAD to get those blue tennis shoes with the white stripes on the sides? These were cool LONG before Nike appeared with the SWOOSH!

All I had were bobo's. :(

Auntie Mabel, Auntie Mabel, put some Thomases on the table!

It's Stovetop? I'm stayin'.

Flinstone's vitamin commercial - "Joey's mom made liver too."
