Spin-off from "Losing it at WDW"

After reading many of the responses in the thread about "losing it" at WDW I remember an icident that happened to us last Nov/Dec.

Has anyone ever had someone else "lose it" with them unneccesarily?

Here's our story...

We were at MVMCP and happened by one of the shows already in progress. I don't recall which one it was but it was in the theater near COP. Anyway, it was standing room only. I was holding dd 2, while dh had dd 7 on his shoulders. We stood in the very back with no one behind us. A lady holding her dd comes and scoots her way right in front of me, no "excuse me" or anything. I said to her, "Excuse me, my daughter can't see now." In all honesty I did say it a bit snippy because I was ticked that she would just butt in front of us like that. She turns and unleashes on me. Her exact words to me were, "You know, it's people like you that make this world a miserable existence." I was floored. My mouth hung open and I couldn't speak a word back.

It soured me most of the rest of the night. Until we saw Wishes....that made everything better!

I lost in on a couple of teenagers and their grandmother. We waited over an hour to have a good view of the parade. My girls were sitting right behind the tape on the ground. These teenage girls and their mother came and stood right in front of us. I explained that we had waited and they told me that we were stupid for waiting so long. I said some not so nice things to them at that point and then they started talking bad about our kids. I was in tears after the parade was over and they walked away. I couldn't believe that someone would stand in front of a 3 & 4 year old that had patiently been waiting for so long. The parade was ruined for us!

I had an experience with a parade(halloween) once too. Me and my friend were sitting on the curb while our boyfriends were standing sort of behind us. Directly in back of me was a garbage can so my back was leaning up against it while I was sitting on the curb in front. Our boyfriends were standing directly behind the garbage can and right behind them was the walk way where people were walking. (hope that doesnt sound confusing)....

well after the parade was over this guy who seemed to be drunk came over to us and just started yelling....saying how rude it was that our boyfriends were blocking the view for everyone and how dare they stand where they were and they should have more consideration for people trying to watch the parade........I couldn't believe it....it wasn't like they were purposely standing in front of people, they were standing where everyone else was so it wasnt like they were the only ones!!!!!!!

Well I turned to the guy and said What would you have liked them to do...Have a Magical Day! and then I walked away.

The most horrible experience for me was at Epcot during Illuminations back in 98.

We were there with my parents and my sis with her DH and my DS (2yr old at time) and had gotten a great spot to see the show in front of Japan right next to the fence/water. During the show, 2 little kids (about 6&7) come pushing my son's stroller out of the way and shoving in front of my family. (we were sitting on the ground) I moved my son over to make a little room for the kids and turned around to see his family behind us, with an older woman in a wheelchair. I asked if she could see well and she gave me a dirty look! (I'm not sure why she wasn't in the disabled section where she could have seen the show from a much better spot)

When the show was over, I turned around to see and hear this lady yelling at my mom and dad (who are hispanic) telling them " I don't know why they even let you people in the park..." and cursing and swearing. Obviously, she didn't get the spot she wanted, and sent her kids to move us out of the way. It was terrible. My dad handled it so well. He just apoligized and said "I'm sorry you feel that way about me, but as a Christian, I still love you" You know what her response was? She said, " well I don't love you..*$!#"
Real Nice...

Like I tell my kids, it takes a bigger person to turn the other cheek.

We once saw a woman going off on a guy. At first we thought they were a couple either joking or having a fight, but then realized they werent and the guy was seriously calling.... "SECURITY!!! SECURITY!!!". I think it had something to do with a stroller, but the lady was really flipping out on the guy.

This must happen often, but when it happened to me...

My DW and I always go into the Fantasmic! Amphitheater an hour (or even earlier) before show-time.

We first carefully find our seats (we can get pretty close to "down front" just a couple of rows from the water) and pick two places that others have not taken.
I sit and hold the spots and my DW goes back and buys our FanSNACKmics:
We have a hot dog and a coke and maybe split a box of popcorn... which makes up our "dinner" on Fantasmic! nights.

We all know that there's not much to DO while just SITTING for over an hour in that arena, but the show is WORTH IT, so we know we just have to DO IT.

So on this particular night, just 2 minutes before the show starts, a young Mom and Dad and two daughters (I'd say 5 and 3) all come hopping down to row 3 (right in front of us) and the mom asks if everyone would "scootch together" so they can fit in and see the show.

Everyone kind of STARES at them (they've all be here "scootched together" for over an hour already). Well, the mom says again, "Please, can we just fit in here? My kids want to see the show."

So being "nice people" the folks in that row start "scootching" and the 4 of the late-comers cram on in.

I'm seeing that there are still plenty of seats at both sides of the theatre, but I guess these folks want to sit "close" (so did I, that's why I "wasted" an hour to GET to).

Now, the Mom turns around to ME and says something like, "I hope you don't mind, we just came in, and we wanted to see the show."

I just couldn't keep quiet...
I said, "So did WE, we ALL wanted to see the show, WE all got here over an HOUR ago and WAITED so we could see it."

The Mom: "Well, we have KIDS with us, they don't like to sit."

DW: "Everyone else here has kids, why should they have to make room for YOU when you just show up at the last minute?"

The Mom: "Well, you're just an old lady, you don't know what its like to have young kids with you.

Me: "Just using your kids as an excuse to crowd in ahead of those who PLANNED this in advance..."

The Mom: "Well it always WORKS!" and she turns around... as the lights go down.

It was 10 minutes into the show before my breathing returned to normal.

The next day my DW and I are on one of the boats between FW, WL and MK and we are, of course, still discussing the INCIDENT between ourselves.
A young family (who was seated right in front of us on the boat, got up to disembark at WL...
It was... THEM!!

I'll never forget this whole thing, it was truly AMAZING!
