SPIDERS...Why did it have to be....SPIDERS

I love love love AKL! It's definitely my favorite right now...:thumbsup2 And Boma is a must do for all of our trips.

Can I just say you and Jasmine are both so photogenic! You both always look great in the pictures!

Hi Queen!! Sorry I have been MIA...we have been so busy with RL, there has been no real time for the DIS! Then Kyle took Abby and I to Minneapolis last weekend, Abby had Thursday and Friday off as well as the weekend! I loved your updates, sure makes me miss it there! Jas must be sooo excited for the cruise...I would love to do a cruise one time!!

What a nice meal at Boma. I've only ever eaten there for breakfast. It was then that I realized they don't serve zebra domes at that time. I was totally bummed so right after breakfast, we went to the Mara and bought a pack of zebra domes! AKL is a breathtaking resort. I love the lobby. It rivals the lobby at WL, my fav deluxe resort.

Only had the joy of Boma once (the-trip-of-which-we may-not-speak) and LOVED it. The crab bisque was awesome then too. What a great day you had together :cloud9:

Another great picture of two lovely ladies! (Maureen looked sweet too. :rotfl2:)

I love AKL!!! The mojito and lava lslushie look delicious!! (Going on the must have list for the future!)

Glad you enjoyed time without taking pictures. Jasmine probably did too :goodvibes!

another great update!!!!!

The drinks look really yummy!! I saw the first plate and said to myself, that's Jas!! I was right!!!

The dinner food looks good, the breakfast gave me food poisoning 2 years ago so I will be avoiding Boma for quite some time..the breakfast for sure haha. Jiko on the other hand..to die for!!!!

Zebra domes.......I have never had one but they remind me of Little Debbie Zebra Cakes!! Has anyone on here had them and please tell me they are nothing like it. (Although you can get a pack of Little Debbies for about a buck fifty!! lol)

Great update! You two have a very special relationship, it is wonderful to hear about it :)

You have me soooo hungry right now.. Boma looks yummy and I've just added to the list of places I want to try! Thanks! I don't know how you were able to control yourself on this trip when it came to the yummy food. Those drinks looked tasty, too!!

Loving the pics of the two of you together!

Great update, Queen. It looks loike a perfect evening with your beautiful daughter. We've been to Boma twice for breakfast and we just love it there.

I love BOMA too. I think dinner is the best. Maybe that is because they have my favorite thing in the world...zebra domes! They had this awesome coconut rice once when we were there. Joe still talks about it!!!

I love dinner too, but I love the coffee at breakfast in the pressed pot.....so I have to do both:rotfl: I've had that coconut rice and I agree, it's delish! Last year we kept zebra domes in our fridge when we stayed at AKL:rotfl2:

After the awful server you had at Kona I'm so glad you got an exceptional one at this meal :thumbsup2 Sounds like a wonderful evening! :)

She was truly beyond wonderful....such a fun evening!

Sorry I am so behind! Only 5 weeks left in my fall semester so hopefully I can try and stay caught up! I am looking forward to winter break for more DIS time

I am also a huge fan of DHS!

That's such a cute picture of you and Jasmine!

I love the theming of TSM you always see something new every time you go through it!

I just finished reading that Pretty Little Liars book! Did Jasmine enjoy it?

Oooo crab bisque at Boma sounds good!

Boma always looks like such a nice restaurant we will have to visit there at some point!

Going to DTD sounds like a great way to end a wonderful Disney day!

Hey girl...glad you're all caught up!Jasmine loved that book! I don't know if she's ever seen the TV show though.....

Shopping at DTD at the end of a busy day is quite wonderful.....next year, we'll all do it together!!!:cool1:

Queen.. I am so glad that I came across your trip report. I have enjoyed reading every detail. Its like reliving the trip with you. I must like it because my computer right now is somewhat broken and it has taken me about 2 hours to go through all the posts:eek:
It is making me so excited to go in May.. I definitely know that I will be taking tons of pictures so that I will always remember my trip.. We are going the week of MOthers Day.. So excited! Thanks for sharing.. I look forward to reading more.. even about the spiders.. :)

Thank you so much and welcome to our TR!! A May trip how exciting, we've never gone in May! I can't think of a better place to spend Mother's Day....can't wait to hear all about it!!

Queen, great posts. I always seem to read your TR when I'm hungry & you're post make me even more hungry!
I have never had chocolate croissants before. I'm a chocoholic, so I'm sure I would LOVE it!

That is the BEST picture of you & Jasmine at DHS!

I can't believe how many books Jasmine read on the trip.

Thanks Amy! The same thing happens to me and it's usually late at night when the last thing I should be doing is eating! Jasmine is a bit of a book geek....she has always loved reading and it makes me so happy!

That update just made me hungry!

Ooops sorry about that...next time I really should post a warning.....;)

I have to be noisy and ask if Jasmin has an account I am sure I am not the only one that wants to get to know her

She does have an account, she just never signs on and posts....I will tell her to get on here!!!

I am enjoying your TR so much - maybe more than anyone's. I think it's the Mother/Daughter thing pulling my heart strings!!!

Looking forward to more. :surfweb:

Thank you so much for that.....that means so much:hug: I have no plans at all this weekend so hopefully will get a couple of posts done!!

I love love love AKL! It's definitely my favorite right now...:thumbsup2 And Boma is a must do for all of our trips.

Can I just say you and Jasmine are both so photogenic! You both always look great in the pictures!

We have so much in common.....AKL is lovely....we can't wait for August to go "home".

Thank you so much for your kind words.... How's the planning coming along for your trippopcorn::

Hey Tiff! I saw that on Facebook....I am kinda bummed that Jas and I aren't able to even make it to Fargo this fall, but hey, that's just how it is sometimes. I love going this time of year:confused:

Jasmine can't wait for the cruise...her cousins are so excited that she's going with them.....

What a nice meal at Boma. I've only ever eaten there for breakfast. It was then that I realized they don't serve zebra domes at that time. We bought the package at Mara too and kept it in our fridge the entire trip....little mounds of heavenly goodness:cloud9:

I hope to stay at WL one year....I think it's stunning!

Ahhh yes, I remember that trip well;) I could have made an entire meal out of that crab bisque:cloud9:

You are too kind my friend...but thank you!

That mojito was so good....a couple of years ago they had a raspberry mojito but they didn't have it this year....that one was my favorite

Jasmine was quite happy with the no pictures that evening;)

Thanks:goodvibes

That's so funny that you knew which plate was her's:rotfl2:

That's terrible that you got food poisoning....not good:confused: We are thinking about doing an adults only evening in August and Jiko is on the short list!!

I have never had Little Debbie Zebra Cakes so I can't help you there:confused3 They are delicious .. I'm not even sure how to describe them, I know they have some kind of alcohol in them though:rolleyes1

You have me soooo hungry right now.. Boma looks yummy and I've just added to the list of places I want to try! Thanks! I don't know how you were able to control yourself on this trip when it came to the yummy food. Those drinks looked tasty, too!!

Loving the pics of the two of you together!

It was not easy, but I ate really slowly and it seemed to work!! You really have to try Boma...it is sooooo good, we love it and the CM's that work there are exceptional...we've never had a bad experience there:)

Great update, Queen. It looks loike a perfect evening with your beautiful daughter. We've been to Boma twice for breakfast and we just love it there.

Thanks Kathy! It was one of our favorite evenings, we truly enjoy each others company....we are blessed!!!

I'm sitting at the Ottawa airport eating fish and chips but I think for Boma food looks much better. Yum!!!

What a lovely description of your BOMA dinner. I, too, love that place and its been far too long since I've been there. Time to go back, me thinks!

Hi Queen, I've finally had a free evening when no one else is using the computer and have enjoyed getting caught up on your adventures!

Jean was looking over my shoulder earlier on and thought that Jasmine's top from your Epcot morning was very pretty :)

While it is too bad that you had a couple of not so magical experiences I'm glad they did not bring you down. Its so much nicer to focus on things like riding SM 3x in a row and chocolate covered strawberries :goodvibes

Those afternoons by the pool certainly look wonderful, especially as the weather is getting colder, it warms me up just to think about it :cloud9:

Ottawa airport....I know it well!! I would have to agree Boma would be much better!!!

I know we're planning on doing it a few times next summer...makes it so easy when you just have to go "downstairs" for dinner....I love that!!!

I told Jasmine that Jean loved her top....she wanted her to know she bought it at Garage ... and they are on sale right now!

We do try hard not to let things get to us when we're there and even when they do, we can quickly turn around our attitudes:woohoo: Chocolate covered strawberries make everything better:love:

What I wouldn't give for an afternoon by the pool.....we got 10cm of snow on Thursday and another 10cm today.....winter is here:eek:

I was so very behind- life has just been too busy to DIS lately, but I'm all caught up now! So I'm commenting on a few updates... :rolleyes1

I can't believe your bad experience at Kona!!! That is just awful. I was disappointed with our meal there this time too- not a great server (though not as bad as yours!) and just "eh" food. And that was breakfast, which I usually love! Maybe they will get some bad comments and make some changes!

You guys know how to tour right- early to the parks and back to the pool! It is SO much more relaxing that way! I need to do that next time! :rotfl:

Jasmine is so cute! I love your pictures in front of the big hat at DHS- you both look like you are having so much fun!

Glad your experience at Boma was better! I will take your advice and try to remember Maureen's name for next time we are there! Isn't their food the best? I would love to stay at AKL someday- I think I would eat 2 meals a day at Boma! I'd spring for the deluxe dining plan just for that opportunity!

SNOW????? Ahhh I love snow....but at the same time am dreading driving in it. I guess you don't want to hear it was 60something here today, but it is supposed to snow later this week. lol

Starting to wonder where those spiders are......:confused3 maybe I will regret asking about those!! :rotfl:

Hey...glad you're all caught up! We really were having the best day at DHS... I would spring for deluxe too just for Boma....and throw in Jiko and I'm in heaven:cloud9:

I'm dying to hear about the spiders!

Just the thought of talking about it makes my skin crawl....however, talk about it I will:lmao: It's not until our second week though, so I hope you stay around for it!!:thumbsup2

Hey Girl!!!

Nope....don't really want to hear that.....when we got up this morning it was -28 with the wind chill....remind me again why I went to Disney in September and not November:lmao:

A few more updates before the spiders....however, I did meet up with quite a beast in the bathroom this morning....I hate when my day starts with a large spider when I'm not fully awake:eek:
