SPIDERS...Why did it have to be....SPIDERS

Love the Epcot update! Great pictures.

By the time we met, my Grey Goose Slushie was settling in. :lmao: I'm so glad that we had the chance to meet up again!

Such cute pictures of Jasmine with Avery and Cayley. Isn't it neat how little kids make fast and furious friends. I bet seeing Jasmine was such a highlight for their trip.

What a lovely morning at Epcot! It looks like everyone had a great time!

I can relate to the waking up early thing. I usually get up at 5am for work, so I am always the first one up at Disney. It takes me the whole vacation to learn to sleep in and then its time to go home!

Hey Queen...all caught up! phew!

Great that you were able to meet Mary! And isn't that 1st full day in the parks, with the rest of your vacation stretched out in front of you the best!??

Love the pics of Jas and the girls in the cars.

And what a great way to spend the afternoon - poolside!

Yay for short lines and bus mojo!

Can't wait to hear about Coral Reef....hope it was good! We loved it in May!:goodvibes

It really was a fantastic morning! I agree, there is nothing I love more than spending the afternoons by the pool! I honestly feel like I get two vacations in one....I know I couldn't lay by a pool all day everyday on vacation but a couple of hours....I'm in:woohoo:

Great update, Queen. Love the pics of Jasmie with the girls. Aren't they just the sweetest things?

It sounds like you guys had a great time at Epcot.

Didn't the pictures turn out great and yes, they are the cutest little things, we truly enjoyed our time with them!

Epcot is my favorite park! Your photos make me miss it so much.:sad2: I'm deployed to Kuwait right now and won't be home until September. I'm trying to get a trip put together for when I'm home on R&R leave in April but it just isn't coming together... It's killing me!! I'll just have to live vicariously through everyone here for the next 11 months!:goodvibes

Epcot has become my favorite park too....there is nothing I love more at Disney than WS, I could wander there everyday of our vacation and enjoy every last minute of it:goodvibes

That's a long time to be away from home:sad1: I remember my dad leaving for 6 months on peacekeeping missions when we were little and how hard it was and how much we missed him. Thank you for what you do:hug: I will personally do my best to keep you full of the Disney magic until you are able to go again......:yay:

All caught up and subbing, can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!
popcorn::

:welcome: Hopefully I will have another update done tonight or tomorrow morning....if I don't get them done on the weekends sometimes they don't get done:lmao:

Just stopping by before I leave today!!! Another great update!!! I read the update on Mary's already but yours is great too!!!
I wonder if you saw my brother at Test Track...hmm?? lol

Oh no...I missed wishing you a good trip:eek: I don't remember seeing him but then again Mary and were quite caught up in our conversations so who knows:lmao:

Nice update!

Your Dismeet looks so fun! The pictures of the girls all together are adorable :cutie:

As for that giant bug :scared1: We saw a ton of those scurrying around Epcot, during evening EMH a year ago, and they totally scared the heck out of me!

All Jasmine clothes are so cute! The girl has good taste :thumbsup2

We had so much fun and I couldnt`help but think that will be us next summer! That bug just about threw me over the edge....thank goodness it was almost dead or there would have been no pool for us that day....I had the creepy crawlie after that

I will pass your compliment on to her....as a matter of fact her and I are heading to mall this afternoon to buy some sweaters for winter...she insists she needs some:rolleyes1

Sounded like a fun morning. Maybe Jasmine should explore a career as a Nanny. She seems to have a way with the little ones.

She is actually steering towards working with special needs children and young adults....she loves them and they love her.....I think she would find that very rewarding:cool1:

Catching up...
Great updates! :thumbsup2

I am sorry your daughter broke up with her boyfriend. :( I am sorry you are feeling heartbroken. My daughter is till very young but I am not looking forwart to her dating years. :laughing:If only we could chose for them, right?

The breakfast at Kouzzina sounds yummy. ;) It is definitely on my list of places to try on a future visit. It is specially cool that you got to enjoy it with other Disers.:thumbsup2

Taking breaks to go enjoy the pool is very smart. I wish we had done more of that!:sad2:

Anyways, I can't wait to read more.
Have a great weekend!

Q

I always thought it would get easier as she grew up....it doesn`t

Our dis-meets were some of the best times we had on our trips!

Enjoy your weekend!

Hey, I recognize those people :) What fun pics. i will ahve to show the girls tomorrow! We had such a fun time with you guys

Can`t wait for the girls to see the pictures....Jasmine sends them hugs and kisses:love:

I definitely should have stopped and picked one up to share with you:laughing: It sure was nice to see you guys again!

I think you might be right, they all really enjoyed being together!

I thought with the hour difference that I would get more sleep, but nope, maybe next summer I`ll get up and just hit the gym before we leave for the parks....then that`s done:lmao:

Couldn`t have said it better myself!!

The first full park day is always the best! Very cute pictures of all the girls. So fun how you had those couple of DIS meets. :thumbsup2

That bug is so disgusting!

Great trip report, however, I might change that thought when you get to explaining your title :lmao:! Spiders just freak me out!!!! I started reading it two nights ago, but didn't get the chance to comment. Oh, you have a beautiful daughter and Dis meets look really fun!

Great update!! That bug was HUGE I can't even imagine seeing that. My 11yr old saw a grasshopper in the yard a few days ago and ran around the house screaming that she saw a ROACH:scared1:. Of course everyone in the neighborhood was out, why wouldn't they be. lol If we really had roaches I can't even imagine what I would do!! yuck:rotfl:

Can't wait to read more!!:thumbsup2

I couldn`t agree more, we love our first full park day! Disgusting is the best word to describe that bug....we kept saying it was a grasshopper on steroids...it`s was the best way we could think of to describe it:rotfl2:

You are very welcome:hug:

Thank you....and I promise I`ll post a warning when the spider post is coming....cause you know I have pictures...I`m sick that way:rotfl2:

Thank you so much for your kind comments!!!

Great update. That bug is so creepy. Just as long as it's not a spider I'm good. :lmao:

Creepy...another great description.....the spider update comes later in the trip:scared1:

Thanks:hug:

The branch I used to work at was on what we called the concourse level which meant we were underground.....I had never seen a cockroach in my life until I went there....and again, those suckers were huge....now if that`s not disgusting I don`t know what is....so glad I`ve moved to a new location:yay: Isn`t it hilarious when we want them to be quiet they never are:lmao:

After our afternoon at the pool we headed back to the room to shower and get ready for our dinner this evening at Coral Reef in Epcot! Coral Reef has long been one of our favorite restaurants, however, last summer we had a horrid waiter and were worried about coming back. I threw caution and everything else to the wind and booked an ADR....I couldn't let one bad evening ruin one of our best restaurants on property.
114.jpg

We headed out to the bus about an hour before our ADR time to find absolutely no one waiting for a bus anywhere. We looked at each other with the "are the parks open" kinda faces:scared1: Jasmine said she couldn't let this picture opportunity pass us by so she ran down with the camera to take this picture!
116.jpg

Then of course I had to get a picture of my girl waiting too....
117.jpg

By the time the bus arrived, we weren't the only people to get on...there were 4 other families. Jasmine and I usually choose to sit nearer the back of the bus but not the back row this time....so a grandma, mom and daughter sat behind us. The little girl was beyond adorable...the mom was anything but adorable. The little girl was asking a question or something, honestly I don't know because she certainly wasn't drawing attention to herself. I heard the mom's tone in her voice and I elbowed Jasmine to listen. The little one was asking her grandma for something and the mom responded with "shut up or I'm gonna slap you across the face".....:scared1: that is exactly how I looked I'm sure!! I turned to Jasmine and asked if she heard what I did and I didn't have to wait for her response because I could see it on Jasmine's face. The grandma said something so quietly to the mom, I didn't hear what it was, but the mom responded with "that's why she's such a little b@#$% because you spoil her rotten". I about lost my mind at this point and turned around....I had to. I said nothing, if I had, I'm not really sure what would have happened. I did nothing but glare at the mother, letting her know we, along with everyone else on the bus could hear her. I eventually turned back around and whispered to Jas "if that's how she behaves in public, can you imagine what that child endures in private" it broke my heart. What makes someone treat a child so horribly? Ok, enough of that.......Jasmine and I headed toward the restaurant. I wasn't thinking of taking pictures on the way because I couldn't get that little girl out of my mind.....so I took this once we reached our destination....I love this shot
118.jpg

I had this picture with Jasmine and Mary's girls, but I loved the way it looked at night so I couldn't resist.
119.jpg

Sign just outside the restaurant....I have to say, we were both starving and pretty excited about our meal
120.jpg

We had an amazing server....amazing, is all I can say. She brought us our drinks, giving us time to look over the menu...I had an Octopus Juice which is beyond delicious and Jasmine had a lava smoothie, which was her drink of choice everyday at the pool too!!! Our server was kind enough to take this picture of us before our meals arrived
121.jpg

Jasmine ordered the catch of the day which was bass and she loved it. My girl loves her fish....she would eat it every meal if she could.
122.jpg

I ordered the pork tenderloin and I must confess I ate the whole thing...it was the one day I didn't adhere to my eat half rule. This was the best meal I have ever had on property and I know I'll order it again the next time we visit.....so tender and juicy with roasted root veggies and a polenta cake....my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
123.jpg

I ordered the creme brulee for dessert and it was so creamy and smooth, but I regained my strength and ate only 3 bites I think.....the meal was better than dessert IMO.
124.jpg

Jasmine always always always orders the chocolate wave here and she wasn't about to change on this trip. She did decide though that the equivalent at WPC was better:rolleyes1

We had such a nice evening....we finished our meal and headed to WS....I was ready to watch Illuminations, with a Grey Goose Slushie of course. Sorry, I took no pictures of Illuminations...I just wanted to be with my daugher and enjoy the moments........

Great update, Queen. Your daughter looks so much like you. :goodvibes

Your meal looks great at Coral Reef. We've not been in about 12 years. We were supposed to go this year but we ended up at Biergarten when I couldn't change Coral Reef to the new time I needed.

And I can't even comment about that mother on the bus because I am just so :sad1:

Sounds like you had a great meal at Coral Reef. Makes me want to give it a second try reading your report. We had a horrible experience there years ago and have not been back. I think we need to go back!

Great pics. I love the one of you and Jasmine together. So cute.

Thanks Kathy! We laugh about it all the time because everyone tells us that, yet we don't see it. \

It made me sad when I got out my notebook and I thought about omitting it, but it did shape our evening that was for sure:sad2:

Hi Sophia

You really should go back....we love it! I love that one too, it's actually one of my favorites of the two of us together.

I wanted to tell you too that the texting plan we got while we were down there worked great.....they charged us the $35 just like they said, so we will do that from now on. I was sure happy we had it to keep in touch while we were there!

You two are such a beautiful Mom/Daughter combo. I love your pictures.

It was nice seeing such a great review for Coral Reef. I wanted to go there for our upcoming trip, but because of other reviews - it was knocked out of our list. We'll have to save it for another trip. I've already changed ressies too many times to count and all are happy with the line-up. ;)

I am with the rest of the group - just at a loss of words for what happened on the bus with the "Mom". :sad2:

Looking forward, as always, to more postings. :surfweb:

It's so heartbreaking to hear/see things like you did on the bus because you know it must be so much worse for the child "behind closed doors". :sad2: We had an incident like that at the cider mill a few weeks ago and I couldn't get the children out of my head for days.

On a happier note...so glad you enjoyed your meal at the Coral Reef! The picture of you two is adorable! :goodvibes

Great update! I love the lighting in the pictures outside the coral reef and Nemo. Both of you looked as if you were very happy to be enjoying the great meal.

Hope the slushie was a good one.

Thank you Lisa!

Isn't it funny how we plan, replan, and do change some more things....all part of the magic;)

Yup there are no words......

It's so sad....

We thoroughly enjoyed that meal....we were right in front of the tank but I have no idea why I didn't take any pictures....I'm pretty sure it's because I didn't want to bother the people that were right up against it....they were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary:hug:

Thanks Darcy!

I was so happy with the way they turned out and it was a bonus that there weren't a lot of people around so I didn't have to rush to get them!

We were really enjoying our evening and the slushie did not disappoint;)

Such a sad story about the little girl. Luckily she has her grandma who hopefully does her best to make the little girl feel loved and know she is special. On a brighter note I love the Coral Reef too! Such yummy food in a great setting. I'm going in January and can't wait!

Wow I might have to give the Coral Reef another try, that meal looks amazing! We had a bad experience there a few years ago (and I don't like seafood) and it hasn't even made our consideration lists.

As fas as that mother goes, it's so sad. My mom is a preschool teacher and I worked with her one summer and let me tell you, I learned a lot about what not to do as a parent from some of them. :lmao:
