Spiders akkkkkkkk!

So I killed 2 gi-normous spiders prancing through my house today, which is icky. Ickier still is the thought of how many I have not be noticed, what might be crusing around me as I'm blissfully not paying attention What is up with them and is anyone else seeing lots of spiders? Even in my yard they are huge, I thought they don't get all uppity until the fall. Of course, I have usually sprayed my home by now but the bad weather made me put it off. Not sure what to think but I am all creepy crawly.

LOL, its a fact of spring here in FL...We have them in the house ALL the time...all sizes, all colors..the cats usually make quick work of them, but a few have been in bad places...LIKE IN MY SHOWER!!! Imagine my surprise when I pulled back the curtain to get in the shower and there was spider in there about the size of a half dollar! I screamed, grabbed a towel, then the toilet brush and proceeded to make him dead....

I have exterminated 5 spiders from my home in the past 2 days. Before this spring, we maybe saw 5 the entire time we've lived here (3 years.) I don't know what is different about this year, but we have had a tremendous amount of rain, so perhaps that has factored into the spider boom of 2011.
