IOA for a day. The deciding factor being my son begging me to take him to see the "real" Spiderman. Please tell me he'll be there for a pic and autograph?! We'll be there July 9.

Also one other question; What would be a good offsite hotel to get for one night near enough to IOA to maybe take a break in the afternoon? I't's overwhelming when looking online, there are so many choices. Any advice would be appreciated.
One last inquiry; basically we are looking for whichever is the better deal. Stay onsite and take advantage of the free FOTL passes or stay offsite and buy express passes for two adults and two children. How much are they? Where do you purchase them? What are the good and bad points?

I thank-you once again for your advice!!

When we were there in December DS got to spend quite a bit of time with Spider-Man. We have some great shots of the two of them together. Spidey and the other super-heros usually make appearances a couple of times a day over by the Spider-Man ride.

BTW--we have stayed at the Comfort Inn across the street from Universal and found it to be comfortable, affordable and convenient. A nice continental breakfast is included. The pool did not look like much, but it was too cold to swim any way. We moved over to HRH the next day. I would think if you were paying for a hotel room and 4 express passes you would be in the neighborhood of an on-site stay. I think you should stay onsite if it is at all within what you can spend, even if the cost is more than you would like.

Yes, Spiderman should be there, so your ds will have time to see him.

If you can stay onsite............ DO!!!!!!!!! Even if you only stay one night, you'd get 2 full days of FOTL.......... trust me, it is worth every penny you will pay!!!

I'd suggest the RPR, it is the most affordable usually, and it is a luxury resort!!! I love it, it is gorgeous, and you'll be pampered!!! Plus, after the parks close, you can go to the pool, or pool hop at the other resorts. In the afternoon, you can go back to your resort and swim or nap, or whatever, then go back to the parks............ it is unbelievable how nice it is!!

I"d check the prices - both ways and then decide, but staying onsite is wonderful if you can, you and your kids will LOVE fotl!!!!!

If you do decide to stay onsite, go to loews website and sign up to become a loews member, it is free, and you get a lot of nice perks upon check - in!!!!!!

***** I just read in another post that the passes are not good for shrek.... if that is the case then the only way to get fotl on that would be as a resort guest!!! just an fyi.
