Spiderman for Four Year Old?

I think it depends on the child, my son wouldn't have been suitable to ride at the age of 4 , just use your own judgement.

I have a four year old girl, she's been going on it since she was tall enough. She hides her eyes, says shes scared, and mostly doesnt wear the glasses. When we get to IOA thats the first thing she wants to go on. Like Johnny says, depends on the kid. The pyrotechnics are first class, there is really no lingering smell. You get one blast of heat (not flames) then you get a fireball effect with flames.....a few seconds later you get cooled down by another effect. Its not like Jaws or Mummy where the smell is prominent or the flames last for longer than a split second...my suggestion is to go on it using child swap....ride it for yourself first, then judge and see if the little tykes can do it.

My nephew went on this ride when he was 5 and was terrified. he had nightmares for days...and he loves spiderman. I have been on this ride at least 50 times and have seen little children either be terrified or completely enjoy it. It all depends on your child. It is not a rollercoaster, it is actually a 3-d movie in which your car moves from room to room. It is very in your face attraction and feels like you are alive in a comic book. The 3-d effects can be freightning..heat, water, fireballs, darkness, very loud noises and when the villians are on your car they are right in your face...I still back up. At the end the sensation of height and falling is scary. My best advice for you is to ride the ride first and check it out, if you think your kid can handle it then go on with him.

Now, I wouldn't consider it scary.
Spidey is my favorite ride at IOA, it is so cool. I've seen countless kids who've ridden it and don't think its scary. I find it more exciting. If your kids loves Spider-man, they'll enjoy it, depending on the age. Ages 5+ should have no problem. But for and under, its more of a 50/50 chance. There are some parts of the ride that are intense, but nothing that'll make a kid cry. Unless their not so tolerant to loud noises.

When something happens that your kid dosen't like, just tell them Spider-man will save them. :)
