I've seen several posts here with reviews about Rose & Crown, and it sounds like a good restaurant, but one complaint I noticed was that the view isn't that great for the screens during Harmonious. Does anyone have any experience with Spice Road fireworks views? Are the views better there with full screen views? How does the food compare between both as well?

Thanks!

Spice Road will have a better view than Rose & Crown, which looks right at the side of the "stargate." But it is not a full-on view of the center of the stargate. From that side of WS, the best views are in Japan, US around the theater (they don't allow fireworks spectators to stand inside the theater) and Italy.

the view at Spice Road will definitely be better than Rose and Crown. Not dead onto the Stargate, but close enough to see all the projections you won't see at rose & Crown.
The food at both is good. From what I've read, Spice road has gone back to the small plate (tapas) menu if that matters.

There are reviews that say Spice Road reserves the tables at the railing for bigger groups, so if you are a group of two you will have a lesser view (and be below the roof line so you might not see the higher fireworks). You can't change tables but you can get up and go to the railing for the show, but need to find a place where you won't infringe others' view. Also, someone said they leave the lights on at Spice Road and there might be pillars in your way as well. You can do a web search for reviews - not sure if the links are allowed here. The food sounds good, however!

Reviews of Rose & Crown say all tables are at the railing.

We did Rose and Crown thanksgiving night. We were right up on the railing and had an amazing view. No, we couldn't see the front projection but we didn't miss what we didn't see. It was beautiful even without that view. Food was great and service was good too. Gave us a to go cup for our last beer :)

That's a great way to think about it...thank you!
