Spice Road Table Reopening

That's why it's a hidden gem! Let's hope it stays hidden enough to be accessible, but gets enough attention to be successful. All kidding aside, I do hope that this new incarnation (and any that comes after) of SRT is as good as the old.

Man I love SRT! Food was consistently great, and the staff was always wonderful. The last time I saw Illuminations it was at SRT and they were very kind about letting me have a table on the patio even though I was a solo diner.

I was really bummed out to see the baked brie gone from the new menu, but at least my hummus fries are still there.

I too was sad about the baked brie Question for you as a solo diner Do you find that one small plate is sufficient for a solo diner's meal? Of course, sharing 2 or 3 plates would be fun, but not possible for a solo

When I was last there for that dinner during Illuminations, I had the baked brie and hummus fries and it was enough for me. But I had eaten steak frites at Wine Bar George earlier for lunch so I wasn't super hungry, plus it was August and just too hot to eat a whole lot. It was just enough for me.

Had lunch at SRT today, at an outdoor table near the water. It was lovely, and delicious. We were able to walk right on and be seated about 2 pm.

they did have 3 separate allergy menus, one for nuts, one for shellfish i think, and i can't remember what the last one was. I mostly paid attention to the nut one because that's DH's allergy. They also had a manager come talk to us about the allergy before placing our order. The usual disney practice, in other words.

As for size, we split 4 dishes and that was fine for the 2 of us.

We got the hummus and chermoula dips with pita, spiced chicken, spicy shrimp, and cheese phyllo triangles. I also got the mint iced tea, which was surprisingly good (heads up, it's very sweet).

Our server was great, too, and we had a good view of the cavalcades.

Overall, we were really happy with our meal there, and would definitely go back again.

Thanks so much for your report!

I'll be going in March...any suggestions? is it hard to join the walk-up on the app?
