Spice Road Table closing?

Had a friend notified that their Spice Road Table reservation for December has been canceled. I wonder if the location will close now that Disney has control of it.

Sad but sounds like that would be the case, at least until Disney can either staff it or decide what to do.

Does anyone have a recommendation on what to replace Spice Road Table with? We lost our reservation on December 21. We're already doing Rose & Crown and Via Napoli on that trip.

I was going to suggest Restaurant Marrakesh, but I see they are currently closed.
Chef de France? Always had a good meal there.
Haven't tried it yet, but Regal Eagle? Totally different style of food, but good reviews.
Hope they reopen Spice Road Table as we enjoyed their food.

I was thinking the same thing, I like the idea that we could pre-book a restaurant and still sit outside.

We were going to book at Spice Road Table during Christmas break but couldn’t get a reservation which I thought strange. We ended up going with Biergarten which I am excited about because we’ve never eaten there and I hear they are still doing live entertainment. We will be there New Years Day.

When I read that Disney was taking over the Morocco pavilion, I was concerned that they might close or significantly change the restaurant. We have a reservation during Thanksgiving week. I decided to book a back up at Chefs de France, just in case.

This place dethroned Tony's for serving me the worst food in my disney dining history, so this can only be a good thing from my perspective. Hopefully they bring it back with improvements.

Hoping its at least as good as the smokehouse they had out for Food & Wine in the past.
Would agree, we never considered eating at the American Adventure until this opened.

So bummed as we finally gave Spice Road a try on our visit in August and we all loved it! Our food was very tasty and the price (for Disney) reasonable.

I'm glad we got to try it ... hope it'll be around when we get back.

This is how I feel. It is the only WDW restaurant we still frequent over the years that has never budged on great service or food. Such a shame! Love the people who work there too. The ambiance at Spice Road is so much different than any other restaurant there, they really had a great thing going--which will of course, will go the way of 'Ohana and Le Cellier

We’ve had hit or miss experiences with service, but the food has always been delicious. We’re going back in 2 weeks, and I hope it isn’t for the last time.
