Is Spice Road Table a good spot from which to view Illuminations? We have seen the show from the Rose and Crown before but have an 8:05 ADR at Spice Table and wanted to do something different. Any opinions would be appreciated.

If you wish an ADR to see Illuminations from the eatery, I recommend 1½-hours
prior to the Illuminations start-time. It is not hard to use up the time with food and drink.
Any closer, other people will be at those tables, and are unlikely to surrender their view.
The only caveat is there might be tree limbs in the way of a perfectly unobstructed view.

Thanks for the info. I was interested in the view. If you cannot get an table close to the water can you still see Illuminations? The restaurant looks like it could be fun.

There are only about 5 tables on the patio along the water. The second row in may have a clear view as well. The rest are going to be more difficult with columns and low ceiling and for sure in cooler months heaters. In addition there is an island in the water that will obstruct some view to the globe etc. The patio is tight so there is no where to stand like R&C, you will have to stay at your table. Also there is an indoor section, many don't realize. They have about the same number of tables by windows. The island would be even worse from in there.

I would not plan to eat/have a great view .... I would eat and move out to where I can get a much better view.

This is entire length of patio, you can see I am leaning on the outside rail. You have to stay at your tables. The second shot shows the island in the view.

Great pictures and info. Disney Daughter not sure of this restaurant. We may try something else.

I have it booked for the 4th of July. I was going back and forth between Spice Road and Tokyo Dining. If we end up here, I'll post our experience and pictures. Unless we're lucky, and there's a Rose and Crown cancellation! HAHAHA!

I'll keep checking for a Rose and Crown as well. I was lucky and got an 8:05 Crystal Palace before the park opens on our MK day, so miracles sometimes do happen.
