Spice road illuminations seating

our tradional first night dinner has been Rose & Crown with illuminations viewing seating. However, we were thinking of trying Spice Road this trip. Can you see illuminations from here?
I assume I ask for 7:45 adr like I do at Rose?

Yes, if you have a table on the outside patio near the iron railing. I was fortunate to have a great table for two in September and had a great view of Illuminations. The restaurant has great food and excellent service -- good use of 1 table service credit, if on the dining plan.

Inside, you will have a limited view unless you are along on of the tables by the window. Note: Some of the inside tables would have no view. We had a 805p seating.

As others have said, you need an outside table near the railing.
For whatever reason, this restaurant doesn't tend to be very busy, so that should not be a big problem. Which is too bad, as the food is very good.

Last fall we had a 7:45 reservation with a request for outside. We were told when checking in it would be 2 hours but they had immediate seating indoors. I ask d if we would be able to see Illuminations from the windows and was assured they would dim the lights and pipe in the soundtrack. We had a very limited view from the window and they forgot to turn down the lights or play the soundtrack. The food was fine, but in no hurry to go back. Pretty disappointing.
