What is the norm for people taking spending money, how much is enough? We're a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) and looking at taking £1700 with an extra £100 incase we need to upgrade our car. Will we be comfortable with that amount?

Well, we go in October for three weeks and we are a family of 5 and are taking £2500, having said that we have already bought our disney tickets so I'm hoping we will have enough

If you have got all your tickets that you need , then £1700 sounds enough!

We went in June for 3 weeks, (2 adults and 1 child) We took £1750 and came back with $350 for next year. We did use the CC twice for two big meals but we didn't hold back on the spending. We had bought all the tickets before we went so it was just food and the things we wanted to buy. :cool1: It did help that DD who was 3 did have £150 of her own money which she had saved from birthdays etc, which meant we didn't have to buy ALL the things she wanted. :teeth: You should be fine with £1700.

We spent roughly £1500 and are a family of four (DS16 and DS14).

I would say its plenty. We took £2000 and had trouble spending it all.Infact we couldn't(i did try) ;) we came home with $1000.

That sounds ok we took around that last year,4 of us for two weeks.
We also used our CC a few times as well, always handy to have just incase.
