So we are sailing January 14th and fly in the day before. Our flight arrives at 9:15am (if on time) on the 13th. We are staying at Disney All Star Movies Resort with our 3 and 5 year olds. What should we do? I don't want to spend a ton of money or jam in a lot of activity the day before we sail. We are not travelling with car seats so I don't know if renting them through a cab company is an option? We thought Gatorland might be a good choice but need car seats. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

One our first cruise my DD was 4. We enjoyed time at Disney Springs (she could spend hours in the Lego store if we had the time) and she also swam even though it was a bit cool for my taste. Not sure if mini golfing might interest you?

A trip to Animal Kingdom Lodge is also nice as there are opportunities to see the animals as you walk around the resort.

I would check into the hotel and walk the grounds have lunch at the food court at the hotel . Take some pics on the grounds and rest a little in the room . Then I would take the bus to Disney Springs shop , have dinner and take the bus back . Prepare for cruise Morning and get some rest .

I agree with all of the above. If I only had one day pre cruise and I was staying on WDW property I would visit Disney Springs (formerly called Downtown Disney) for a few hours, have a meal, come back to resort to rest or swim. I would not want to deal with car seats and cabs. We love grabbing a sandwich at Earl of Sandwich. Pretty inexpensive for lunch or dinner. It is very convenient to take the bus from a resort to Disney Springs.

There is a ton to do at Disney Springs and it is just beautiful to walk around. They did a nice job of it of redoing Downtown Disney.

Another option would be to visit some of the Deluxe Resorts like AKL or Beach/Yacht Club/Boardwalk and walk around the promenade there. Or take the bus to Ticket and Transportation Center, hop the monorail and visit the monorail resorts (Grand Floridian, Poly and Contemporary). You can have a delicious Dole Whip outside at the Polynesian.

I am very much looking forward to our stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge at the end of the month. Stayed in most of the other resorts but AKL is on my bucket list!

I also think Disney Springs is the way to go. No car rentals, no car seat rentals, no park tickets, no scheduling.

You can spend a lot time with your little guys at the Lego store and the World of Disney. Grab lunch down there. Go back to your resort and swim if it's not too cold. Call it a nice low-key day, especially since it sounds like you'll be getting up super-early to arrive in MCO by 9:15.
