Spending one day in MK. Which sit down restaurant would you eat at?

Going to be at MK in two weeks and cannot decide which restaurant to eat at. It's just my husband and I.

Frankly MK does not have great FS restaurants. The Plaza & Skipper Canteen are good, but we often just go to one of the monorail hotels for a good sit down restaurant. It tends to be a little quieter and have better food. I would suggest looking at the menus before you make a reservation.

Skipper Canteen every time. There are some who don't like the style of food served there, though

We like BOG or Tony’s. We are trying Liberty Tree Tavern with the AYCTE lunch in a few weeks. In the past we had only experienced the a la carte.

I'd go for Skipper Canteen. The Plaza can be decent if you're a less adventurous eater. Nothing else is worth the price or the time our of a park day, IMO.

I am one of those not impressed with Skipper Canteen. I thought there was not enough variety. I would just do Columbia House or Pecos Bill.

Liberty Tree Tavern is our go-to when we want a sit down meal at MK. Never been disappointed in the food or service, plus I like the colonial atmosphere.

I would definitely take the monorail/boat to one of the 4 resorts in the area - much better dining options.

I vote for something easy/fast if your only going to be in park one day. Quick service for sure.

MK is not the place I would have a sit down dinner or lunch, The idea of taking the monorail to one of the resorts is doable. If you are not rushing to do as much as you can in one day, then take the boat to wilderness lodge.

We eat most of the time at LTT for TS. BoG is decent, too- but that was a 'one and done' for us. Nice place to experience once, though. Better options outside the park, but these days we have a very late breakfast and go to MK around 3-4 PM for a few attractions and the evening fireworks, so it doesn't make sense to leave. If you like comfort Thanksgiving Day offerings you will be happy with LTT- food is actually very good because they only make a few things (lunch and dinner are the same) and they do those few things pretty well. Never had a bad experience there.

Personally- I would walk over to the Contemporary and eat at any of the restaurants over a table service in MK. Exactly what we are doing on our upcoming trip for Steakhouse 71. Also love Chef Mickeys and California Grill

If you want to stay in the parks, as others have suggested Skippers is the best option. Otherwise head to one of the monorail resorts or bot to wildernerness lodge for much better options.

If you don’t mind a buffet, the food at Crystal Palace was really good.

We're doing Crystal Palace on our first day for lunch. We'll be off a transatlantic flight the day before, the kids will be tired, and it's a good way to get food they like into them without a delay. I do like the option for a sit-down meal, especially at the start of a trip (when we're all jetlagged); it's really worth it for us to just have a little rest in the middle of the day.

Although we seem to be in the minority, we really love Be Our Guest! I will go out of my way for it. Especially at Christmas time. The Christmas trees and the falling snow - I think it's really beautiful. And those cupcakes 😍
