Spending NYE at Sea World

We will be spending NYE at Sea World. We've never been so I am excited but scared too!!

Our main goal is shows---not really rides. is 30 minutes still enough time to get to a show beforehand? My DGS will want to sit in the soak zone so I will need tons of ponchos and things to keep my powerchair dry!!!!!!!!

Any recommendations on where to eat or "quieter" places in the park for some chill time?

If we leave to maybe snooze in the car will we be able to get back in?

Any advice at all would be appreciated.

We're going for the first time in Jan. and from my research in numerous books, etc. it says 30 minutes before shows is good. 45 in busy seasons and maybe if you want to get in the splash zone 45 would be good
As for leaving and re entering the park, that is no problem. All parks let you re enter as long as you keep your pass. Do you know that you can trade in your ticket before leaving for the day and get a free ticket to come back the next day?

Well if you want to sit in the splash zone next to or infront of the slide out you should get their about 45 min early. If you want to sit in the splash zone but not in the middle( you can sit on the side of the stadium to get a different view) then you could actually come like 5 minutes before the show.

A good place to eat is right next to shamu stadium. Its called Mango joe's cafe. We eat there almost everytime we go.

Quieter palce would be like the manatee rescue. There is hardly any one in there and its air conditioned. Another place that I like to go is by dolphin cove its called over head viewing or something and there is hardly anyone there too. You get to watch the dolphins from above. Its nice. And actually underwater viewing for the orcas is nice once the people leave or when there isn't a orca in there. One time I just sat there for like 30 min and hardly anyone came down. It was nice.
