I want to get another opinion on this.
We (myself, DH, and 3 DS's) have a 4night/5 day trip to Disney World planned starting on November 6. We have the free dining plan. Our children all will have their own spending money, we told them we paid for the vacation, if they want anything extra that is not included in the paid trip they will need to spend their own spending money.
So what I am getting at, I am thinking we will not need much extra spending money at all, except for tips and mousekeeping. Am I correct in this thinking?

I would say yes, you are right BUT its always good to take a lil extra just incase. It doesnt mean you have to spend the x-tra $$ though. Have fun!

BTW- if it's your first trip then you might spend more then you expect like we did-lol! It was our 1st time and we spend a lil more then we budgeted but didnt go overboard. If you've been to WDW before then stick to the budget but take xtra cash just incase

We myself, sister and brother in law used to take set amount a day for spending money and food. Then we started going when they have free dining so no need to take as much:worship:.we do take a charge card should emergency arrive:scared1: when I take my Grand kids we plan to give them- used to be disney dollars now gift cards for birthdays and Christmas if we all know were taking them and with that and what they have saved on their own they can buy what they want and the rule is no questions asked. if they want to spend it all in the game room so be it then they are done:upsidedow we had one do this one year and learned quick lesson in finance...normally it works very well:cheer2: and we do spring for a surprise before we leave:love: then the kids are not asking every hour can I have this or that as it up to them
and they save like crazy for these trips...:worship: and we love taking them as well:dance3:

that SEEMS logical but we always end up spending more than we thought we would. Doesn't EVERYBODY need Pumpkin Mickey ears?? :rotfl:

we are taking gs in December. I plan to give him a build a dino gift card and $50 in Disney dollars for his spending money. And, yes, we will buy him other stuff, too.

I always plan for unexpected...whatever you think you will need, i'd take half that amount more.
