For two people on a 6 day DL trip how much money do you think is PLENTY for spending including food. Thanks

That's tough to answer. For me, $50 would be plenty, for others $200 wouldn't be enough. Do you plan to eat at counter service or table service? Do you want several snacks a day or do you bring in some of your own? Are you bringing home gifts for friends? Are you a big shopper? It's all relative. . .

I've saved up a lot but for some reason I'm still nervous it's not enough even thought I know it is lol I just wanted to get others opinions

I know exacly what you mean!!! I am so paranoid I am going to run out of money by the time we go to Universal on next Sat. I am trying to tell myself I'll be fine. It is my b-day on Tues so atleast I will have the $70 gift card to help!!!

You mean $50 per day, correct Callie?
For me it would be like $100 per day. That would cover a few nice meals and souvies. And maybe an extra $100 just to be safe - so $700 total. Now if you book any tours or F! seating, that is paid for in advance so doesn't count!

Yep, per day, but I'm a frugal Disney gal! If I overspend my dh will be less likely to approve future visits.

see I saved all this money JUST for spending and food so if I spend it all it's no biggy but I just wanted to make sure I have plenty haha

For most of our trips, having $100 per day total for the three of us has been good. That was lower food and higher souvenirs...now it's started to switch to more food (even their $$$$ Dasani waters) and fewer souvenirs, and it's about the same.

Don't forget a special tip money category for savings...that adds UP!!!

I set my budget as $180 a day for 8 days:scared1:

I saved and saved and saved and am so happy I did, my mum has a $100 a day limit and she was fine with that. I bought alot of stuff though, we ended up having to buy 2 of the Disney duffle bags as well as our 2 luggage suitcases and another duffle bag :rotfl2:

We are just back today and I was also really stressed about not having enough. When we go to WDW we always have the Dining Plan, so hadnt paid for food for a few years.

We (as a family of 3) had $220 a day to spend, and we managed fine, never in a million years did I think that would be enough, but it was.

With this I splurged about $160 on MAC make up, $300 on clothes, loads of merchandise from the parks, ate at 4 table service, and ate counter service for lunch every day, had snacks every day like pretzels, popcorn etc, went to Universal, and sightseeing in Hollywood etc.

Our counter service for 3 averaged at $30, table service about $70. our 5 day Disney hopper and 1 day universal was paid in advance.

Hope this helps, there isnt a worse feeling that you wont have enough, but you will be fine!!

My husband and I just got married and we were on a budget when we went to WDW on our honeymoon as well as Disneyland a month later.

Our food purchases went a little something like this...

*Brought in our own bottles of water with crystal light pouches so we didn't spend any money on beverages

*Ate Breakfast at our hotel. (They had a free complimentary breakfast. We sometimes brought bagels into the park.)

*Mid morning snack: 2 Churro's for 6$

*Lunch at Rancho De Zocale: 2 meals for about 20$- no beverages we just asked for free ice water

*Afternoon snack: Dole Whip $3.50

*Dinner: Tomorrow Land Terrace... He got a burger and I got a sandwich.. for about 20$ again

*Leaving the park treat: Carmeled Apple $5

So if you add all that up it was about $55.00 for food for the day!

We aren't big souvenier buyers (I am just big into the pictures I take as souveniers!)

So I think you can easily do Dland for around 50 bucks a day. :) Good luck!

We do a table service (all of the character meals and BB), a counter service and a snack or two a day. The three of us spend about $150 a day. Then we make one huge trip to World of Disney with our discount coupon from the package discount book. We can spend anywhere from $300-500. I know, we have a problem! We're getting counselling and taling meds for it! :rotfl2:

I love the title of this thread. My wife and daughters favorite hobby. :rolleyes1
