This trip will be my 22 year old daughter and I. I'm trying to figure out spending money for the two of us for 4 days in the parks.

I have $400 in Disney gift cards put away already and I can add another hundred and twenty-five in gift cards to it.

My conundrum is I don't want to have too much money but I also don't want to have too little. We probably will not do sit-down meals except for perhaps something at the Carthay theater Lounge or perhaps the Napa Grill Lounge both of those for apps and a drink.

Aside from that will probably do mostly counter service and the booths at the Food and Wine Festival.

Any thoughts?

I know this was a silly question I'm half thinking I just wanted to hear myself talking out loud.

Thanks!

TBH I wouldn't add more to the gift card, what if you don't spend it? Use up the gift cards first and then use cash. Food and Wine Festival booths can get spendy - $6-7 probably per snack. I think you would be fine budgeting $100.00 on food per day ( $ 50.00 per person ) but I would check the menus of places you'd like to eat to get an idea of costs. You could spend close to $100.00 at the Lounge if you both have an adult beverage and a couple of snacks.

Here is a list of menu items from last years' festival including prices.

I'm totally jealous of you being able to attend the F&W Festival! :)

My (adult) son and I went last year and I budgeted $150.00 per day for the two of us and we pretty much kept to that with the exception of two 'splurge' meals and a cute teapot that was a wee bit more than I normally would have spent. I paid for food, most snacks, water/soda during the day and a couple of pins. He bought himself a couple of t-shirts and some snacks out of his own money.

Like Sweethanah said, check out the menus and prices. This will give you an idea of the cost, plus, whether or not you would even want to try a place. DTD has some good places to get a bite to eat too. Marceline's and World of Color in DTD takes Disney gift card, so, on your last day, hit DTD and spend every nickel left on the cards for treats and a shirts, pins, purse, pillow pet, coffee mug, etc!
