We were just in WDW last year but I cannot remember how much spending money we brought with. It will be DH, 3DD's ages 3-10 and me.

The girls will have some of their own DD. I have to admit I do splurge in them during our trips. DH and I also like to order a drink with dinner. We are on the dining plan.

Any idea about how much money to bring?

Thanks

That is hard to know. We are a family of 5 (last time we went kids were 10, 8 & 4) and didn't do the dining plan. We tend to only do 1 expensive meal (character dinner, etc. which we put on CC) The rest we spend with cash. All souveniers, food, etc. We brought $1000 for 9 days last time and did not use all of it. I think we had a couple hundred left. We do tend to splurge with souvies and snacks. But we are also counter service people who eat breakfast in our room.

With the dining plan it is WAY different then what we would take. Good luck! And have fun!

Are you staying on site? If so, you could just charge everything to your room keycard and not worry about cash. I'm even going to have charging privileges put on my (very trustworthy) teens' cards so that they can get a snack or buy a souvenir if we split up for a while.

An added benefit of this is that we'll have a record at the end of what got spent where. (And of course the danger is that we could let it get out of control; we'll just have to be extra careful.)
