Can you prepay dues for more than a year in advance? They change the dues every year so I don't see how you could do that unless DVC allows you to setup an escrow account. I might do that with the 18K if I could. Otherwise prepay for next year and buy some more RIV points or whatever else is on sale.

We pay dues in advance and have overpaid by more than the next years amount previously. They just carried the rest over to the following year. I haven't seen a limit on the overpayment amount but I don't imagine they would stop you overpaying by $18k?

We too prepay dues. They just carry it as a credit in our account.

Credit! I've called before and asked what would happen if I sold and they said I could transfer to another membership. Fyi.

I don't need more points, and can easily afford the dues I currently have.

I would see if I could buy $18K of "extra" points and donate to charity - something like Give Kids the World.

Me too if it were cash. I'd buy some Series-I savings bonds and pay annually. But with a gift card it would be hard. And for the purposes of the game I assumed we'd have to spend it as a chunk

I know it would be the smart thing to prepay dues, but I would have to buy 100 more HHI points. We LOVE going to HHI often, so it would be nice to have extra points there for our family trips and our solo trips. We've decided to take two trips there each year, but I would like to go even more. It's definitely our second home.
