Spencers or Hot Topic?

Also, I would have to say that I don't particularly like either store, but I like Hot Topic better. Spencers is kinda...idk too many....risque pictures and such. Of course, I'm not saying that Hot Topic is wholesome in anyway, but spencers just creeps me out

Hot Topic has some cute stuff for people like me who don't want to go all-out grunge punk but like some of the punk-rocker clothing. Spencer gifts kinda freaks me out between the violence, nudity, rudeness, and all around classless-ness...I do like the glow in the dark section in the back tho

Thats what i've wanted to post here since yesterday but i couldn't describe Hot topic. I like their Napoleon Dynamite stuff and their shoelaces and pins. Same for spencers its kindof clasless but the glow in the dark section lol

Me too, I'm kinda preppy and I love LTDtoo. The only thing I've ever bought from hot topic was a nightmare before christmas t-shirt.

Just because you like a pair of pants that are "punk" style or maybe buy a band t-shirt because you like the design, you are not a POSER! I thought shopping and clothing was about buying what you liked and what looks good on you, not what other people label you as, or whether or not you have even heard of the band...that doesn't bother me, but maybe that's just me...sheesh

Just like how people call people who wear American Eagle, Hollister ext..Preps...Clothes are clothes.

So yeah, today in my Driver's Ed class I was debating this with a friend of mine. Uncharacteristic of me I know, but we didn't have anything else to talk about.

Anyway, I said I like Spencers better. I mean, when I walked into Hot Topic, it just screamed, "Posers" to me. The type of store where someone would buy a Motley Crue shirt, and not know a single Motley Crue song.

Spencers on the otherhand, gave me that... ...feel. I walked in there and felt like I wasn't in Emo heaven. More like rocker heaven.

Also another thing that won me over was the choice of music. Spencers was playing like Saliva or something, while Hot Topic was playing like, Hawthorn Heights or something.




But yeah, similar stores, but which one do you prefer?
