Spencers or Hot Topic?

I prefer Hot Topic, just because I got a No Doubt shirt from there.

well hot topic has some cute tops and skirts but there band tees suck the dont have any rock shirts anymore their all like unknown bands so spencers has better band tees and random stuff which i love

spencers is better than hot topic.
shes right Hot Top isnt punk rock. its more of a poser central.
think about it....
anyone could go in there and buy...lets say as example....a Evergreen Terrace shirt and they have never even heard of them, and maybe they just liked the design on the shirt. POSER
another example...
people think theyre some hot stuff or so "hardcore" cause they shop there. yeah...ok...w/e...spending mommy's money on band merch you dont even know of is really "hardcore."

i have many other arguments about what the purpose of hot topic really is but i should shut my mouth before i end up starting some contraversy. as for being afraid of it, im not. theres nothing to be afraid of. its not like its a Satanic worshiping ground for blood sucking vampries who are gonna kill you.

Same here. And sometimes I'll wear the shirt of like...a band that I like that all the cool "punk" kids in my school like. And they call me a poser, just because I don't wear any chains on my pants.

I do own pants with chains on them. I do own band shirts. I have shopped at hottopic. I still do occasionally. I like hardcore music. I know all the words to entire cds of unknown bands. I've been in several bands. I play guitar.

yet I still get called a poser by a preteen in a green day "american idiot" shirt. who has never heard another song by green day.

anyone seeing teh logic here?

NOTE:not making fun of green day. I'm a fan of their earlier work, before the lead singer had children.

Just because you like a pair of pants that are "punk" style or maybe buy a band t-shirt because you like the design, you are not a POSER! I thought shopping and clothing was about buying what you liked and what looks good on you, not what other people label you as, or whether or not you have even heard of the band...that doesn't bother me, but maybe that's just me...sheesh
