Speedway???

I don't mean to cause any problems.... But doesn anything tommorowland speedway doesn't fit in tommorrowland.. if disney at all


My argument is... When disney opened it had revolutionary rides... how are go carts revolutionary... and i thought Walt was all about conserving energy and helping out the enviornment (TTA)... the fumes that come off the Speedway is gross... Don't get me wrong... i love the ride. i just don't get why it is there

I don't get them at all, are 5mph fume inducing cars a sign of the future? They fit in a bit better at DL but still are confusing.

This is definately one attraction or ride that they could get rid of and place something more Disney like in its place.

My DS5 and I LOVE them! We hoot and holler the whole way round the track! Kinda silly, I know!

The ride might have been new and cool when disneyland opened, and in that case I can understand and appreciate keeping it for nostalgic reasons, but I cannot understand why the same ride was put in disneyworld when they surely had the technology to build rides that better fit the futuristic theme. Go figure.

I don't think it fits either, but we can't get rid of them. They are my kids FAVORITE ride & the 1st thing we do every time we go to MK.

My kids like them too. They do take up a lot of room on the map, but considering the rumor of them getting fastpass machines installed soon, I doubt they are thinking of getting rid of them. I do wonder why they haven't replaced the vehicles though. It seems like the ride is screaming for electric cars.

This ride has a built-in public-relations problem - it is one of the few WDW rides that it is possible to "out-grow". While children simply lurve the idea of actually driving a car, the novelty wears off once you get your drivers license. I simply chalk it up as one of those (few) rides that doesn't appeal to me, but I sincerely hope that it's still around - in one form or another - when I do finally have grandchildren to take to WDW.

We have DD8 and DN8 and DD2. Will all of the kids enjoy this ride? For some reason, we skipped it on our last visit.

I was thinking that this was ever taken out..... just think of the posibilities!!!... but hopefully it won't be replaced by another 100 ACRE WOODS PLAYGROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True, kids love it. But imagine what Disney could do with that space? They gotta lose those cars and build something magical.

How about if they went to hover cars?? You know like the magnetron trains running over seas. That would be cool and futuristic. And you wont see any guys saying get rid of this ride.
