We leave for our trip in 3 days and I'm still stressin' over our transportations. I have Speedi Shuttle booked for our transportation from Airport to Aulani and for the return trip as well. I'll be travelling with 2 kids ao I wanna know if anyone has experience using this company. I'm mainly worried about the travel from Aulani to Airport. We have a departure flight at 7am and I schedule for a 4a m pick up at Aulani. Is that enough time allowance? Taking into account, multiple stops since it's a shared shuttle and traffic since it's on a friday.

How about Charley's Taxi? I kinda have this company in mind just incase the Speedi Shuttle is a bust. Any thoughts on this as well? Thanks in advance!!!

We have not used SpeediShuttle, but the reviews on Yelp look pretty bad.

We used A8 Airport Shuttle recently to go from the airport to Waikiki. They were awesome. I was told to call after we got our bags. I pulled out my phone to call and there was already a text message from the driver saying he was there.

The price on their website to Aulani is $70 flat rate, private, up to 4 people. There are a bunch of other private, flat rate shuttle companies on Yelp that have great reviews you can check out.

I used Speedi Shuttle to Waikiki. They were the recommended shuttle from Hilton Hawaiian Village. They were fine. It wasn't that their service was anything special, but when we left the baggage claim from getting our luggage, there was someone there to direct us where to go. We walked over to where they told us and there was a shuttle waiting. We were the second to the last people to get on that shuttle, so we didn't wait more than 5 minutes before we were leaving the airport. And our stop was the first stop. It worked out very well for us, though I wouldn't say that there was anything unique or anyone went out of their way to make it special. I would guess that whoever you took, a 4 am shuttle (no matter how many stops) would be fine for a 7:00 am flight.

The only reason I got SpeediShuttle is because it's part of my vacation package and it's essentially for free. But now I'm contemplating about booking another shuttle or using a taxi because of the bad reviews. Also, I've noticed that as of now, I don't see SpeediShuttle on Aulani's website anymore as a partnered shuttle service company. I will definitely look into that info you gave me. Thanks!

Is the $70 roundtrip?

I've never ridden them (always have a rental car), but I was almost run off the road by one a while ago! Driver was going like crazy.

I'd have a rental car personally. Otherwise, I'd take a taxi.

I have not used that shuttle service. We booked our Aulani stay through Costco with the included transfers. I figured out the transfer service was Speedi Shuttle and after reading the reviews we bailed on it. I called Costco and told them that I could not handle the stress of a poor shuttle and wanted to switch my package to a rental car. They were so nice about it and made the change. The person I spoke with said he was very grateful I told them about the reviews as they want to be sure they are offering quality packages so if something wasn't up to par, they wanted to know. ANYWAY, I am so so glad we had a rental car even though we had to pay for parking. It was worth the flexibility (groceries, Costco run for a Hawaiian shirt for DH and caramacs gifts to bring back, trip to the North Shore, I ran out one afternoon to a fabric store and got great Hawaiian prints, one evening the restaurants across the street were packed so we hopped in the car and drove the 10 min to Kapolei for dinner, etc). All this to say if you haven't thought about a rental car, I would consider it. If you don't want to do a rental car, then I would consider a different taxi service.

I think leaving at 4 am for a 7 am flight should be fine. I can tell you we left at 5:15 am for an 8:30 flight (w/ rental car drop off) and it was tight because traffic was stop & go the entire way.

It's one-way. I just looked at Charley's and their flat rate is $55 one-way. But since Speedi Shuttle is included for you, personally, I'd probably be inclined to keep it with Charley's as back up.

I think I know the fabric store you went to - I used to shop there! Is it Fabric Mart? Lots of fabrics so cheap! I may hit them up next trip!

OP: I would have a rental car! Even paying parking, no way I'd go without one. It's vacation, and I would feel stranded without one.

I used speedi shuttle with no problems. I also saw their terrible reviews and planned to use a different company but when I arrived at the airport they were the easiest to find. They didn't want to offer me a one way and when I said it was because I was travelling to Waikiki but then returning to the airport from Aulani they said it would be fine as they would just register the pick up from Aulani. I received confirmation while at Aulani and as I was the only one the driver dropped me at the airport hotel where I was staying the night before an early flight rather than the terminal.

I used Charley's taxi from Waikiki to Aulani. Not cheap for a solo traveller but convenient. No different to any other taxi except the rate is agreed (standard fare) in advance. There were plenty of taxis at Aulani so I'm sure they could get you one to take you to the airport if the included shuttle doesn't turn up.

We used Speedi and there were no problems at all. We booked through disney as part of the package so I don't know if that made a difference. There was a slight wat at HNL on arrival, but they claim that was due to a parade in Honolulu that delayed the vans getting back from Waikiki. The return to the airport was very smooth. It was a very busy day and they were loading vans and sending them out as quick as they could.

Thanks all for the replies! I think I'm sticking with speedishuttle since it's free. But I'll have Charley's Taxi as a back up!

Speedy Shuttle is great. We have had them now in Seattle for a few years and thats who we take to and from the airport. Nice vans, good AC, TV. BUT know that from the Airport to Aulani, if you dont pay for a private shuttle, they WILL fill it to max caps so prepare to get to know some people and they will stop at Marriott FIRST. I would prob not do it that way again for that reason (its not a big deal just a preference) but have had no issues with speedi shuttle and have used them many times. They have SO many vans to and from Aulani that if you miss yours, they will get you on another quickly, no problem.

YES! I couldn't make it to the swap meet this trip, which is where I had purchased a few yards of some fun prints a couple years ago. So I googled fabric stores and that seemed like the closest to Aulani. SO MANY prints. I had fun picking things out. Now I need to get sewing...

We used Speedishuttle on our trip two weeks ago and the actual vans/drivers were great but the reservation system is problematic. When we arrived at the airport our van was not there and we had to ask another driver, who called one up and we were off within 5 minutes. For the return trip, I got a call on my room voicemail the day before confirming the shuttle would be there to pick us up at 9:05 pm, when our flight was at 9:30. I called back and rescheduled it for 6:05, and there was no problem. So as long as you confirm your reservation times with them directly you'll be fine. They do Aulani pickups every hour at the :05 and will give you the time that works best for you if you call in advance.

We used SpeediShuttle in Maui. There they used a large 12 passenger van - one of the Mercedes ones. It's large but more of a van than a bus.

Our experience with SpeediShuttle in Maui was fine. They were all over the place at the airport. We ended up getting on an earlier flight so we arrived in Maui an hour earlier than expected, but the rep was able to get us on another SpeediShuttle so it was no issue. They were on time picking us up from the hotel to head back to the airport as well. The only slight aggravation for me was that you have to call them 24 hours before your pick-up to reconfirm everything. I had to set alarms on my phone to remember to do this. The one time I called, I was on hold for quite a while before someone finally picked up. It would be better if they just called you the day before to re-confirm.

Does anyone know if we need to call and confirm with SpeediShuttle if it was set up through Aulani and complimentary?

They should call you to confirm (we got message on our room phone) but definitely check with them to confirm your pick up time is right.
