Speed Humps

Do you have them?

We have those, circles and bumps. Doesn't seem to stop anyone from flying down the road.

Yeah- I think speed humps just make people giggle, not slow down.

I think some people take them as a challenge just to see how fast they can go over them

Yes - we have some - and because my van sits so low to the ground (because of the stow 'n go seats), I practically have to come to a full stop to crawl over them so I don't "bottom out"..

We have them. But some are bigger than others.

The ones around here don't slow anyone down too much because they are graded for 35 mph. The speed at which you can comfortably take them at is about 35 mph. What speed are yours graded for? That would be a question for your road maintenance dept. Maybe get them changed if too high?

We have Speed Mountains. Wasn't so bad when I had my SUV, but now that I have a sedan I practically take out the bottom of my car whenever I drive over one.

Speed humps??? They used to be called "quickies!"

We used to call them "& #'s" because of what we said when we went over one too fast

I'm visiting my MIL for the holiday. Her town has fake speed humps. You see the yellow coming and you brace yourself to bump up...then NOTHING...it's just paint. I've never seen a fake speed hump before. VERY strange!
