As a long-time vegetarian, I've noticed that for quite an amount of time.
Even in myself when I insist that I've put tiny signs outside telling spiders to stay away or they'll be killed (and then make my poor Buddhist husband actually DO it! if he comes back as a cockroach it's partially my fault).

We never found anything to take cat pee smell away, but we also had a cat who kept on doing it.
You're in a better position b/c as long as you keep your door closed, you won't have any repeat performances.
Thats funny because my wife says I get grumpy when I don't eat.
Cashew Kitty anyone?
Seriously just kidding on that one.
For the record I have now accidentally spurred a fight about animal rights/cruelty, a fight about religion at WDW and a fight about creation/evolution - IN ONE DAY! Talk about your bad days. Put me in Jerusalem and I will have the whole peace issue figured out in 30 minutes. Either that or start the biggest war in the history of the world.
For any who care - my original comment was in fun - meant to get a laugh - not start a war.
That is my question as well! I would never leave my door hanging open; any number of critters could get in....raccoons, cats, dogs, skunks, rodents, insects, spiders....that door stays closed when I go outside! I sure wouldn't blame anything in nature for coming into my warm home if I leave the door or window wide open for it.
I agree with Kejoda about the guy who gets his rocks off shooting cats. I also understand that sometimes you have to kill an animal because it is sick or diseased, but the poster in question seems to take too much pride in doing so. I do not buy for a second that the guy is doing the humane thing by saving the cat from living in the wild. Hello, cats were wild animals before humans domesticated them! Feral cats can and do live just fine out in the wild, along with raccoons, mice, coyotes, birds, skunks, deer and all the other critters out there. It's so strange to justify the killing an animal because you are saving it from living the way God intended.
Chrissie-Good luck with the carpet problem. I hope some of these remedies are useful. I also hope you don't think we're a bunch of loonies over here across the pond. (Well, maybe we are, but please don't *think* that about us).
