It is all speculation but historically speaking what special event weeks have been blacked out of free dining. I am hoping that FD gets posted for late fall/early winter and I am trying to plan my dates. I know not to place great hope in it but there is probably a good chance based on history that they will do something this fall.

Ok, the weeks I am looking at are:

10/29-11/5 (Halloween & FW Fest)
11/5-11/12 (Jersey Week and Veterans Day and FW Fest)
12/3-12/10 (Pop Warner Week)

In the past, have any of these event weeks been blocked out of free dining?

Yes, Pop Warner week is usually always blocked out. Pretty sure anyway.

Yup, Pop Warner time has been blocked out of all promotions, FD, % off rooms, etc. for years. Haven't seen a promotion that has included that week. Right around Veteran's Day may have some dates dropped out too, but some promos (not all!) go by your check in date if you can work around that.

All 3 of those weeks are typically blacked out. Even the pin codes are usually blacked out for those dates. Last year if you checked in Thurs 10/28 you could get free dining through the trip but no room only discounts because those are done day by day.

We got free dining Dec 4-13 of 2009 which was during Pop Warner week but I'm not sure how they did things last year.
Until last year we have always gone during Pop Warner week and we always got some kind of discount...free dining, room discounts, once we got a discount through Southwest...
