Speculation thread: 12pm January 4th 2016?

I'm hoping for an announcement of theme month like....January...all podcast will be spoken in Broadway form.

Just brings a smile to think of a "Jolly Holiday with John-ny" sung by Kevin.

Feb. will need to be themed to "Cars" for Speedweeks/Daytona 500.

So I just listened to the solo show (which was of course great) and noticed at the end Pete specifically said "check the DIS at noon EST on Monday, January 4th" - and that would reveal part of what was happening. Just noticed he said "The DIS" and not "DISunplugged" so wondering if it is something broader than just the podcasts - something that affects the forums and the rest of the board (wdwinfo, etc.) as well

Or it could just be that Kevin and John will sit in on all the podcasts, in the balcony making sarcastic comments like the DIS version of Statler and Waldorf

I agree, Max - I think it's some sort of "brand wide" (if that makes sense) thing, since he did say 12 Mon., and that makes me think PART of the transformation (because he did say that only part would be revealed of a much larger whole on Mon.) will be something with the boards, since that can be "time specific" to whenever they "flip a switch" so to speak.

didn't know the DL Team lived so far apart, and figured they just did an audio show together, didn't know they do it from separate locations.

At the beginning they say "from points across california". They change it up a bit depending on where they all are..sometimes it's "From Disneyland," or some have been from Orlando and points across california..I would imagine it's easier to deal with the not all being in the same place with audio only (though I'd love for it to go video also )

You all are overlooking part of what Pete said. He said that starting next week, the studio is going to be a lot busier. Now that could just be referring to the new show, but that's not how I read that comment. I'm thinking perhaps the makeup of the Orlando show itself will change in some way, possibly involving more people at one time.

I also agree with Rebo that Pete specifically referenced the DIS site, suggesting that something will be changing with the site itself, not just the show.

Obviously, I have no more idea than the rest of you (except Kevin, of course), but it's fun to speculate. All I know is I'm excited to see the next-gen whatever it may be.

I feel like we're all way to spoiled with all the podcast goodness we're getting next month.

Listening to the podcast now. Pete mentions it while talking about how much Craig has grown and gotten better since stepping into the producer role, so I'm now a lot more excited than I was.

I think I just peed myself a little picturing Craig, straight faced, asking people those questions while Ryno stands behind a camera trying not to laugh. Better still is Pete during the editing process repeatedly saying 'No, No, No, can't use any of this. For Gods sake Craig, why would you say that."
