Is it me or does that giraffe have a hidden Mickey??? :rotfl2:

Great guesses everyone, the next update should be coming soon along with our lovely food pictures :cloud9: and then the winner shall be revealed :thumbsup2

Great update Kathy, oh I loved looking out at those animals, but I'll admit it did make me miss my kids because they LOVE animals. But I couldn't wait to explore Epcot with these ladies because on my honeymoon my DH rushed me through... it was probably the park I looked most forward to exploring

I guess seeing Hidden Mickeys everywhere is one of the "side effects of the Annual Pass!"

Kathy

Yes it is - I said over on my TR but I will say it here too.
Thank you for my prize, proudly displayed on the fridge. :cool2:

Oh Look another one. :rotfl2:

Well now that we have our country and description picks in hand, have changed for the cooling evening temps, park bags packed, and Autism scarves on plus finished w/ our Savannah interlude (which was so cool BTW!) We were ready to hit EPCOT and take on our food game and the EMH!

Some more Bus pix:

I laugh now looking back at how many pix we took on these buses

The first things we did once we entered the park was to take some group PP pix in front of SSE. Once again we had another fun photographer who complimented us on the scarves and inquired why we had them. It was a great conversation starter!

My gifts to the ladies were the homemade fleece scarves w/ the Autism puzzle piece logo all over it. My SIL actually gave me one for Christmas and I just knew that had to be my gift to the ladies (along w/ a few other special things). Who knew we’d really need these scarves to help keep us warm over the next 2 nights and what fun attention we’d draw to ourselves w/ our matching scarves…now you may be wondering as you looked at the pictures, one of us doesn’t have one on  no she wasn’t boycotting my gift, but you know how some are scarf lovers and others are not…well Heidi isn’t a fan of a scarf around her neck and hey she was still in shorts tonight while the rest of us had on long pants and double layers by midnight ;)

After our pictures I wanted to share w/ the ladies my Legacy Tiles we had made for the twins back on their first visit and 6th birthday back in 2005. I realized I had forgotten the location #’s at home, but luckily my Mom was at my house (sitting) and looked it up for me so we could find their cute faces:

Now we were off into the park and were heading back toward World Showcase to start off our night. ( I can’t remember if we needed FP’s for Soarin later or they were all gone :confused3) I needed to pick up something in one of the UK gift shops for my brother so we decided to go there first and then swing back around to Mexico and work our way around.

We weren’t quite sure how well we’d all stay together as we toured WS w/ each person wanting to stop at various spots or if we’d have enough time to get to everything before snagging a spot for Illuminations. Let’s see how this plays out…

Before we even got to the UK we were sidetracked a few times…we were passing by Club Cool and a few of us mentioned how we’d never been in there before or have tried “Beverly”…so naturally we had to stop!

Remember how Kathy mentioned before it had rained more during our resort break…it had stopped by the time we arrived at EP, but the pavement was still damp and so was the tiling upon entering CC. For those of you, who have never been in there, there are steps leading down into the main tasting area and can you just guess what happened?

Yes slippery tile, and clumsy Julie almost went splat again. Kathy seriously thought I was faking my latest fumble. [shake head] Luckily I didn’t actually fall and was ok. Amy was wondering why I still had those sandals on….

Onto the tasting…I’ll let the pix tell the story:

Oh the dreaded Beverly face…

Spectrummoms2011103.jpg

And Yes call me crazy after gulping it like a shot…I liked it LOL

Off to the WS…and hey look the hasmat team is out…

Oh it’s just some of the Brazilian tour groups.

Jess needed to make a call while we were in the UK:

(this wouldn’t be the only call had here so stay tuned…)

After a stop in Canada and another potty break we walked back around to Mexico.

The first country for our Sip n Snack game. For those of you who guessed Strawberry Margarita from the Margarita stand as my choice were right!

A few of us (Heidi, Anne Marie & I...AMY? too) also grabbed some YUM’s from the new Cantina CS…some chips and guacamole and chicken tacos. This was a perfect start to our food tour…

Next up was Norway and something Sticky and then China and Kathy’s do-over wish plus a few more surprises…

Let the Food Games begin!!

Julie, Crocs can be very slippery when the pavement is wet... I seriously think it was less "clumsiness" on your part and more the footwear plus the rain that led to your mishap. I've slipped a number of times in my Crocs while grocery shopping!

Your Sip 'n Snack beverage looked yummy, and I'm not even a Margarita drinker. Oh, but ANYTHING would be better than Beverly! My first time... yuck! What an after taste! The pix are priceless...

Kathy

I can't even IMAGINE 7 ladies shopping, snacking, and touring through WS together. OR not. It will be very interesting INDEED to see how this plays out!!

Yay! for the pink marg!

I love the AKL....we were able to visit there on our very short 2010 trip while having dinner at Boma. Someday I'll stay there......:cloud9:

Julie....I tend to fall more than the average person....I feel your pain! :rolleyes1

Your margarita and Mexican snack look tasty. :thumbsup2

After Heidi and Tracy enjoyed their Mexico snack and Julie and I shared an order of guac we were off to Norway. I have to confess that I was looking forward to the game and was pretty happy with my selections. Having never visited the Kringla Bakery before I was looking forward to finding something sticky and yummy there.

There were SO many yummy confections behind the glass, how could one choose just one…..

01212011037.jpg

It was rather hard to get good pics of the food because the glass was completely fogged over, probably because it was rather chilly and damp outside and warm inside.

Now, what did I choose??????? Ta da:

I have to say the Cinnamon Bun was very sticky and VERY yummy. I polished off the whole thing. Looking back I’m not sure why I didn’t pick the School Bread as I’ve always wanted to try it but I guess the Cinnamon Bun was a little stickier than the School Bread. Guess I’ll have to get a School Bread in June…….

I do remember that Julie got a School Bread to go for later and a few others picked up some pastries too but I can’t remember who got what.

After we enjoyed our sugar fix we continued our “trip around the World” and moved on to China. I wonder what Kathy picked for her white food……

I just love the game idea and the Beverly pictures were PRICELESS :lmao:. I can't wait to see what the rest of you picked. The first two choices were great, I adore that margarita stand ;) and Bill is crazy over cinnamon buns. You are my kinda people :rotfl:.

Why couldn't I have chosen Norway?? Everything in the Bakeri looked so yummy... I simply had to pick up a little snackie for later; something to nibble on during Illuminations! I was torn between the School Bread and the Cloudberry Horn. Both get raves here on the DIS!

Hmmm... what to do? what to do?

Kathy

We were off to a great start! :thumbsup2 I had some of those yummy chips in Mexico but asked for plain chopped up tomatoes instead of salsa. Plain Jane... remember. :rolleyes1 I don't know why I didn't get anything in Norway because everything looks so delicious!

Fun updates girls! I love the Autism scarfs. They are fabulous. It almost makes you happy that is was just cold enough to wear them. All you PP pictures are wonderful.

And that school bread....Oh My.....it looks sooooooo good.

Kathy - I enjoyed your blogs. Thanks!

This was one of my snacks (not for the game, just to eat ) I remember it was light, but not very flavorful.

When we first got to WS and headed to UK I got a boozie drink...one of many that night :rolleyes1. I got the Tronto-tinni at a stand in Canada. Not very good but it had potential had it be served cold! and hand made by a bartender. Lesson learned.

I loved my chicken taco in Mexico.
