Spectrum Moms Take on The World! Our Last Day...Multiple Posts!

Hello lovely ladies, I hope you have safe travels and a magical, pixie dust filled trip :goodvibes.

Praying for beautiful weather, lots of Pixie Dust and a MAGICAL TIME!!! :goodvibes I can't wait to read all about it! popcorn::

I am up WAY TOO early for a flight that doesn't leave until like noon! Thanks Danica. My little girl decided that 415am was a good time to start her day. After trying to get her back to sleep for an hour I gave up. I figured I was WIDE awake at this point might as well get up. She'll sleep in the car on the way to the airport.....wish I could.

The weather in NH turned out better then what was originally predicted....less freezing rain. The early morning flights to MCO are showing to be on time so I don't think I'll have any issues with my flight.....other than it's sold out and probably with cranky people who are a day late for their vacation. :scared1:

I downloaded some episodes of Top Chef All-stars to my ipod and I have a brand new book to read, plus I pulled out some long articles from this month's Vanity Fair so I'll be fine in the airport and on the flight.

I need to shower, have breakfast, pack the rest of my day of things and get the kids feed and dressed....that's it! I'll check in again before we leave for the airport.

By the way.....this is feeling really surreal to be doing this! I'm very excited to meet all the ladies!!

Oh no!!! At least the two of you are flying together and you should be able to save her a seat.

pixiedust: I hope it gets resolved!!

Looks like we might see some rain on Friday (and that's only 50%) but otherwise things are looking good. :thumbsup2

We're having a two hour school delay here this morning since the snow turned to freezing rain last night but Thursday & Sunday (my travel days) look good. It's going to be VERY cold when I get home Sunday night - like below zero kind of cold! :cold:

After I drop the kids off at school I need to change the school sign (assuming they have shoveled a path), stop by one of my work clients and pick up some bills to pay, run to the grocery store, come home & pay those bills, then shift over into trip mode!!! :dance3:

Thanks Julie for posting the pixie dust request. As she posted for some reason my itinerary is not eligible for online checkin. :confused3:sad1::scared1: I even called and that's all they can tell me. They said I'll get whatever boarding pass is avail when I checkin so most likely a C pass. :mad: Good thing is Julie can probably save me a seat and the flight is NOT sold out.

Ugh! This is not the way I wanted to start my day. :sad2: I still have so much to do and I am SO not motivated anymore. :guilty:

That's strange Anne Marie! I wonder what's up with that?? :confused3 But don't worry... You & Julie should be able to sit together since she's boarding ahead of you. :goodvibes

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust to you, Anne Marie!

Heidi, have a safe flight... see you soon! :woohoo:

I'm getting ready for work now, so I'll post a bit more later.

Kathy

I'm ready! We're heading out in about 10 minutes for the airport. I'll text Amy throughout my day and she is going to update my whereabouts here.

Safe Travels Ladies! And I'll see you in the WORLD!!!!

*UPDATE*

Well, I called SWA again and got a very nice agent who unfortunately couldn't really help me. She checked everything and even went so far as to call Dallas. Seems I'm just "lucky" and have been tagged by TSA. :headache:

Well, I'm off to re-pack my bag a bit. I wasn't planning to check my suitcase but since I'm going to have to checkin at the counter I might as well.

:yay: have a safe flight down and get them ready for us!!!!! see you so soon! :dance3:

well ladies good luck getting through your day in what you have to do and what you want to do :laughing:

After my early morning wake-up (which really was no earlier than usual but rough after sleeping in for 2 days...I didn't hit the snooze and easily checked in and got Group A # 39...seriously how did 38 people do it before me in the split second of turing the time :confused3

than after hearing AM yucky news...finished getting the twins ready to go to school w/ Matt and then to my horror :eek: watched poor Bekah slip on the ice on our driveway and fell striahgt back on her back and knocked her head....:guilty: :sad2: she seemed ok, shook up a bit, instead of Matt driving them to the walking meet spot he drove them around and I told her to go ck in w/ the school nurse. I also called her. Luckily no huge welt was forming on her noggin...so I hope she'll be ok.

After I attacked the ice on my drive and walk w/ no success the other girls made their way off to school.

so on my agenda today:

* eat breakfast

* clean bathrooms (oh fun)

* tidy up house

* maybe vaccum

* do bill pay

* fill out some paperwork

* work on more school event stuff

* pack a few more tolieitries for tomorrow morning

* fix up my park bag (which is my purse)

* do lunch duty at school

* hang out w/ NR before her nap

* eat lunch

* finish up anything didn't accomplish yet

* few misc things to do for trip

* other kids home from school

*homework help, dinner, etc

I am not meeting up w/ AM for the pre Disney pedi...due to time on my end plus I was able to touch up my toes for free at the salon last night when I go my hair done.

I'll check in later today...

J~

Oh poor Bekah! I hope she's OK. :hug: That's a tough way to start the day!

I got a couple texts from Heidi this morning...

"Sitting at gate. Another hour to go. Did Julie's crossword - much harder than I thought it would be! Danica was sleeping when I got out of the car. :sad2:"

"Boarded plane. Row 5, window seat. Can't wait to eat lunch! Saw the biggest plow I have ever seen on the tarmac!"

She should be there later this afternoon!! I'm anxious to hear what section she ends up in at Pop!

As for my to-do list, I'm doing pretty well so far especially considering I started my day two hours late.

I did online check-in (A47 - lots of people must pay for EBCI), I changed the sign at school, got groceries, picked up the invoices from my client, on my second load of laundry, and made it to an appointment that got rescheduled from yesterday. :thumbsup2

I have to drop off the checks back at the client (just around the corner from my house), pick up Alex from school at 3:00, clean up around the house & finish up my packing. I might make a batch of cookies too. I have to pick Zach up from art at 5:00 to get him to karate at 5:00 in the next town over... still trying to figure out how I'm going to make that happen. It's either pick him up early from art or get to karate late... leaning toward early pick up from art. Tonight I'll finalize my packing & last minute "don't forget" list, take a shower & hopefully get to bed at a reasonable hour (and stay asleep all night). Oh & I need to get an extra bed ready for DMIL - she's staying over here tonight so Tim & I can sneak out for the airport without waking the kids.

Hey everyone :wave: I've been away from here for a bit haven't I? :blush: Thanks to all for the warm wishes, I cannot believe we're leaving tomorrow! :eek: And Heidi's already on her way..... yippee!! I don't think I guessed which building she'll be checked into..... hmmmmmm, I'll guess the '70s. :thumbsup2

I'm still at work, blah, but I have most of the big stuff that I needed to do done so I'm just waiting for that clock to hit 5pm. Oh yes and my driver's side windshield wiper decided to shred itself on my way to work this morning so I must fix that ASAP before making the trek to Buffalo, :headache: kinda need that.

I have my directions to (and from!) the airport printed out, including my coupon for the preferred parking, and I've calculated out what time I need to leave the house in the morning. I'm monitoring the Buffalo weather and though tonite shows a bit of flurry activity, overnight and into tomorrow morning is clear and a balmy 14 degrees. I did my online check in this morning, one minute after the 24 hour mark, and I got Group B! What's with that? As a single traveller though, it should be easy enough to take that first open seat I see at the front of the plane.

Tonite's dinner won't be take-out after all, we'll pretty much have a normal night except for a few last minute packing things to take care of and more tidying while we watch the Leafs. :rolleyes: I'll circle Sunday on the calendar and tell Ariana that I'm going to be away (no details and Demetri has been sworn to secrecy!) and that Daddy is going to be taking care of her. :hug: The portable DVD player is all charged for Ariana to watch in the stands at Alex's hockey game this evening and then we'll call it a night.

Cute story..... this past Sunday, Demetri and I were out grocery shopping for the upcoming week and he got to choose what he'd like for dinner on the first night I'm away. He asked me ever so sweetly, "Mama, why can't I come with you on your trip?" I smiled at him and told him I'd love for him to come, but it was a Mommy's only trip this time. Then he thought about it and tilting his head to the side and a bright smile on his face asked, "Well.... can't you pleeeeease just make it a Mommy/Son trip?" All I could do was laugh!

Julie, I hope Bekah's feeling better! :goodvibes

We too had freezing rain overnight and everything is all icy and slippery and grey -- sunshine, here we come!!!

so happy Heidi is happily on her way or maybe already there :goodvibes

thanks for the well wishes for bekah...considering never got a call back from the school nurse she must be OK.

My to-do list for today is winding down and I'm sore after scrapping half the ice off my drive and walk...very thankful for the southern exposure we get to help melt it down.

so what is left?

* schedule bill pay

* school chair things

* finish tidying and possibly vaccum

* couple other misc things. Have just about an hour before I need to get over to the grammer school and do cross walk duty :woohoo: love the extra $$

plus I must eat and NR isn't quite napping :headache: she knows I won't be here tomorrow but not sure if she get's it...Bekah so wants to come on the trip too :rotfl:

When my parents left after watching NR for me so I could do lunch duty I was joking if my guest room was ready and it dawned on me the last time I slept in my parents home was almost 15 yrs ago the night before I got married ;)

touch base again later
