Yes, Folks, we're still "in committee" but will be finished soon!

BTW... I so lucked out this year... Billy wanted to be a pirate: again so I get to recycle last year's costume!!!

Tricia is going to a Halloween/Birthday party Sunday and her friends still haven't decided if they are dressing up. :confused3 I may just run out to Target and pick up one of those cute themed t-shirts for her.

I can't bear the thought of her aging out of Halloween!

"Talk" soon,

Kathy

Hooray for Hollywood!! On our arrival day we’ll step back in time and visit Old Hollywood!

We’ll plan to grab a late lunch before heading to DHS by 3pm. We want to arrive before the parade blocks our way!

First up… Sunset Blvd – ToT & RnRC (ride both or ride one/FP other)
-Tower_of_Terror.jpg

Rock-n-Roller-Coaster_01.jpg

Then we’ll catch a show… 4:00pm Beauty & The Beast or 4:30 LMA

Then we’ll see if we’ll get the gangster or the cowboy on The Great Movie

We’ll grab a CS dinner sometime around now. Then head back to ToT & RNRC to use any FPs we obtained earlier. (Or maybe in the opposite order in case anyone gets an upset tummy on the thrill rides.)

Then around 7:30 or 8:00 we’ll head to Fantasmic for the 8:00 or 8:30 show (currently only one show scheduled at 6:30, but we’re planning on a second show being added at 8:00 or 8:30)

And what about TSM? :confused3

Unfortunately it looks like we just can’t fit it in on this visit… but don’t worry… we have two other options on the table. Saturday morning EMH at 8am before we head to Animal Kingdom or Sunday morning on our “free choice” day.

Where are we going to eat?? We haven’t narrowed that down yet, but these are our CS dinner options:
Food court on Sunset Bvld (a little bit of everything)

Loved that video Kathy!!

My boys are dressing up as Darth Vader (Alex) & Luke Skywalker (Zach). :thumbsup2

Love the video Kathy.... I really thought I would carve some creative pumpkins this year until we all got crummy colds. :headache: Threw the schedule right off, but hopefully this weekend we can still squeeze it in!!

My teenager still hasn't decided what he's doing for Halloween either, but Ariana and Demetri are very much looking forward to trick or treating!

I love DHS! So many things to see and I always find something on each visit I hadn't noticed before.

I really hope to see that elusive Cowboy side of the Great Movie Ride, I've only ever seen the Gangster. This will definately be a fabulous day. :goodvibes

Great picture! :goodvibes

Wa-ay-ay back when I was in high school it was customary (and perfectly respectable) for teens to continue trick-or-treating, but the "Hobo" became the uniform costume.

We would dress up in some of our our fathers' old clothes... preferably suits with patches sewn here or there for color... and old hats (most of our fathers still had fedoras hanging around from the fifties and sixties.) Then we would use charcoal to make our faces look "dirty". Add a stick with a bandana bundle tied to the end of it and Ta-Da! Instant Hobo!

Ah, memories!

OH DHS how I love thee!! What a great park!!! You have some really great must dos and I'm hoping that you will get to see the cowboy!!!!

Hmmm...so many food choices, so little time LOL

Great Studios touring plans! Wow...time is flying...your trip is only 3 months away!

Excuse me, Dahhling, that's two months and three weeks, thank you very much! :rotfl:

Can you imagine if we had to choose an ADR?? CS will be hard enough!

Yes! Back when I was a teenager, (you know, ten-ish years or so ago ;) ) it was all about girls dressing up as babies. Cute little high double ponytails with ribbons or bows, huge freckles on your cheeks created by eyeliner, perhaps a soother hanging around your neck and a teddy bear in your arms. If it was warmer weather you could get away with wearing your pyjamas and the even more creative ones would fashion a diaper.

I agree..... such memories!!

I think Alex might be asking me shortly to go to a party. :scared: He's been super sweet all week, helping with extra chores and showering us all with lovey-dovey affection. I sense he's in butter-up mode. :rotfl: IF he's allowed, I'll suggest the hobo to him!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO YOU ALL!!

Great job on the DHS post Amy...thanks! but I don't think I'll be hugging that pink bear :headache:

can't wait for RnRC...have not been on it since 2005!

Happy Halloween to all too :goodvibes

Tracy I love Ariana's hair you did a great job (or whoever did it!)...

I'll share pic's of my 4 later, but we'll have a yo-yo, a Mouseketer, a yodeling cow-girl and a Queen :thumbsup2

Great DHS plans Amy!! I am so happy that all of you get to go together. This is just such a fantastic idea.

I love the costume picture Tracy and thanks for posting the video Kathy.

You're welcome! I love me some Muppets! :yoda:

(Okay, technically Yoda isn't a Muppet, but he is voiced by Frank Oz!)

I'm having a hard time keeping up with individual replies on this PTR... but want to say thank you to everyone who liked our DHS plans!! :goodvibes

DHS was a hard park to plan!! We only have a few hours to spend there on arrival day and so much we would like to do... unfortunately TSM had to be sacrificed! But luckily we have our free choice day or an EMH morning on Saturday to stop by for a spin! :thumbsup2

I heartily agree, Amy!

It's a bit difficult to update as a group since every decision has to pass committee first! ;)

In other news (or rumors, if you will) there is speculation on DVCNews.com that there will be a new DVC property built at the site of the old River Country. Take a look:

One of the more popular Disney Vacation Club rumors of late is that the site of the old River Country waterpark may be redeveloped to support DVC villas. Recent permit applications only add fuel to the fire.

Disney recently applied for a permit from the South Florida Water Management District to make changes to the River Country / Fort Wilderness region of Walt Disney World. The focus of those changes is a relocation of stables and support services in the Tri Circle D Ranch area. However, one particular image may be of interest to DVC followers.

An overhead view of the project area shows structures with a nearly identical footprint to the typical Disney Vacation Club Two Bedroom Villa. Highlighted here are what appear to be 40 individual Two Bedroom units, with the leftmost units actually extending beyond the existing shorline and out over the water. With a structure built-up vertically 4 or 5 stories, such an expansion wing could be home to as many as 200 DVC villas.

File that under Things That Make You Go Hmmmm!
