Ok - I arrive on August 13th. I stay until August 21st and it appears that Spectromagic's last night is the 17th. Why is this? I think this is a bit early? Do you think they can change this? I like watching it on my last night!!!

Spectro may only run on the weekends after the 17th.

It very common that WDW will add parades, fireworks, and extend hours about a week or two before the dates in question.

I try to plan my daily itenerary about two months in advance, then check the "official listings" every other day, or so, and make my changes when they add events.

Many times I find that just about a week out, lots of extras pop up and I adjust for them.

My motto is, "If Disney is putting it on... if I can get there, I'm gonna WATCH it!"

OK - I mean ill get to see Spectro but it is my favorite part of the trip. On my last full night I like to watch it! Just a thing!

I'll be there Aug28-Sep4 and I think they are having the parade twice during that timespan:
Sat Aug28 and Tue Aug31....
